16. Your are my bestfriend

Priyanshi and Shaurya go outside of the festival to that tree where Priyanshi had tied her horse to, but now her horse was not there. "O god, the horse on which I had come is not there now", Priyanshi said looking here and there, "So where has it gone now?... It seems you did not tie the horse properly", Shaurya says

Priyanshi makes an innocent face, "aisa hai kya? Toh ab mein kya karu ?" "Koi baat nahi ham hai na... hamara matlab hamara ghoda hai na" "haha aree han chahiye ham sath me chalte hai" she said while smiling big
("Is it so? What should I do now?" "It okay, I'm here....i_i means i have my horse" "haha o yes so let's go together")

Shaurya smiles in his mind because he was the one who had freed Priyanshi's horse before going to priyanshi

Then Shaurya holds Priyanshi's hand and takes her to his horse. First he sits on the horse and extends his hand towards Priyanshi.

Priyanshi also holds his hand and climbs on the horse. Priyanshi was sitting in front of Shaurya. Slowly, the horse starts moving forward.

On the way, The vines of the trees hung low in the moonlit night sky, casting a silvery glow from the dried husks that had fallen on the ground. The coolness in the air was sharp, stinging the skin, yet invigorating at the same time.

Priyanshi, her heart thumping like crazy, sat nestled in front of shaurya on a single, majestic steed. The horse, a magnificent stallion with a gleaming coat, moved smoothly across the trail, his breath visible in puffs of mist that danced in the frosty air.

In the cold night priyanshi's body shiver "It's colder than I expected tonight. Do you think the palace candles are still lit?" she said rubbing her pulm continuously on both of her hand, shaurya looking at the Stars smiling said " I hope so. But you know what, I can't think of a more perfect night. Just look at the sky!"

Priyanshi glancing up said "The stars are beautiful, but I can't help but wish I were warmer." Hearing her shaurya leaning a little closer to her "Here, I've got you. Just stay close to me" he said, "Is this your clever plan to keep me warm, your highness?" Teasing him priyanshi said

"Maybe! Or maybe i just enjoy your company so much that i don't even feel like going back to the palace?" he replied teasing her back

Priyanshi's deep-set eyes sparkled with mischief as she turned slightly to glance back at shaurya "You're enjoying this way too much, isn't you" she teased, laughter bubbling from her lips.

Shaurya chuckled, his warm breath mingling with the winter air. "How can I not? Night rides with the most beautiful girl are a treasures to me" he replied playfully, tightening his grip around her waist to ensure she felt secure. Making priyanshi blush, her face become super red by now

Is he flirting with me? What does it mean? do he really like me or is this a joke? If this is really a joke and he is just playing with me I've to kept my heart seal i don't want to be heart broken again I can't let him know my feelings......( With a sad smile) I can't with him anyways he is the king of Aryansh and i am just a mere girl from India whom no once love

Lanterns had adorned every corner because of the festival, and the sounds of laughter and music had twirled like ribbons in the air. Yet even amidst the revelry, shaurya had found himself grateful for this moment, alone with priyanshi, before returning to the formality awaiting them back in the palace.

The ride home seemed to stretch out unwarranted, and shaurya secretly welcomed it. With his heart thrumming in time with the horse's steady gait, he urged the stallion to trot slower, just to savor these fleeting moments. As they passed beneath the canopy of deep forest, the world outside seemed to fade, leaving only the two of them in their enchanted bubble.

"do you like it, the festival?" priyanshi asked To overcome the awkward silence between them, "with you, i love to be anywhere" he said

That's it, is he trying to kill me by saying those things,my heart is beating so fast now. I didn't know he has this kind of flirting skill

"T_Thank you your highness for your kind words but i am just a mere girl i can't be with you anywhere" suddenly shaurya's face become serious, After that Shaurya does not say anything else and remains silent throughout the journey

Priyanshi was unable to understand what wrong she had done.Then Priyanshi stays quiet and concentrates only on the road

After a while, when both of them reach the palace, as soon as they enter through the main gate of the palace, their eyes become deep. All around the palace, inside and outside, soldiers were roaming around as if they were searching for someone and Anamika, Arjun and Madhusmita were standing at the main door of the palace.

Anamika looked very upset, her eyes looked red as if she was crying. Seeing all this, Priyanshi could not understand what was happening, then Shaurya took the horse near the main gate. Shaurya got down from horse and helped Priyanshi to get down.

Seeing Shaurya, Arjun comes and stands beside him but when Anamika sees Priyanshi, she angrily starts coming towards her. Priyanshi understands that Anamika is very angry with her maybe and maybe will get angry with her or scold her.

So she starts preparing herself in advance, but seeing Anamika coming to Priyanshi angrily, Shaurya tries to stop her, "Anamika, listen to me, it not Priyanshi's Fau_" "Brother, i want to talk to Priyanshi right now" Anamika interrupts Shaurya her voice was rough and deep, Shaurya tries to make her understand.

"Anamika, first listen to me" "Brother, it will be better if you don't come to us today" Anamika's voice sounded angry, Shaurya was about to say something else but Priyanshi stops him  saying "Let her speak your highness, Anamika ji, all this was my mistake" Shaurya steps back from the fight after listening to Priyanshi. But Anamika comes to Priyanshi angrily.

First she stares angrily at Priyanshi, then she hugs her with a tearful face, “Where were you? I searched for you everywhere. I was scared thinking that you had gone somewhere….you had told me that you will never leave me alone then where were you?”, Anamika says while crying. Priyanshi stands by her words in astonishment.

Was Anamika worried for me? But why? No one ever showed concern for me, am I even worthy of their concern? When Nikhil who i loved the most, did not think about me, when Niharika, whom I considered my everything, did not think about how I feel... then why was Anamika so worried for me... and Shaurya also went to the fair with me for my sake, is this normal... can anyone think about me, am I even worthy of this, but whatever it was, I should not have gone like this without telling her, I should have at least told Anamika. (She started questioning herself)

"Forgive me, I should've told you before leaving. I thought I was not that special that someone would look for me, that's why I didn't tell anyone. Please forgive me," said Priyanshi. "You are... for me !" said Anamika.

Hearing her words, Priyanshi's eyes get wide open, and then Anamika say further "You are special for me...you are my best friend, you are very special for me" Hearing her words, tears start flowing from Priyanshi's eyes.

Is this true? Can I be special to someone? Anamika's best friend? Does she consider me as her best friend? This time, there is someone who considers me special, someone whom I can call my friend? Is all this true? Is this a dream...and even if it is a dream, I don't want to wake up.
