chapter twenty three.

The weather is surprisingly calm and slightly windy. The sun is obscured by clouds, while leaves rustle on the ground and flowers are in bloom. It turned out to be a perfect day for the students who were sitting outside.

At the long table sat Yugyeom, Minjae, Jimin, Hoseok, and Jungkook. While his cousins were engaged in some nonsense argument that didn't capture his interest, his friends across from him were focused on their homework.

Their History professor had assigned term papers and other important tasks, and Jungkook was diligently working through them, determined to clear his to-do list as he wanted to avoid any interruptions later when he spent time with his alpha.

"I'm gonna buy a car later tonight but Dad suspended my card." Hoseok says pouting, clinging to Jimin like a koala. "So my precious Jiminie, my pretty mimi, can you lend me your card tonight? Please?"

Jimin scoffs and pushes his alpha brother away. "No way, Hoseok! I'm using my card for our fitting later. And stop spending most of your money on useless stuff. Go bother the others. I'm busy."

Hoseok whines loudly, drawing the attention of nearby students. "Come on, Jiminie, I need your help! Your brother is going through a major crisis right now. I need to buy a new car!"

Jungkook internally groans. His alpha cousin's whiny voice is slightly irritating him. He cutely huffs, slamming his ballpen and quickly turns around to face his Hobi hyungie.

"Hyungie, stop doing that and behave!"

And like an obedient dog, Hoseok quickly shuts his mouth and sits on his seat next to Jimin.

Jungkook huffs again. "Thank you." and went back to writing his term paper.

Hoseok leans closer to Jimin, his eyes slightly widening in fear. "Is it me or our Jungkookie is getting scary?"

Jimin rolls his eyes and smacks his forehead. "Nope. It's just you being so annoying. Now shush! We're all busy."

Hoseok pouts, slumping on his seat. The sight made both Yugyeom and Minjae giggle.

The doe eyes of the younger is heavily focused on what he's currently writing on his iPad. So far, he had taken a great photo of a butterfly and a caterpillar for his project in his photography class and also drew an easy drawing of a certain someone's else's back as a draft.

"Jungkookie," Jimin called while typing on his Macbook. "We're doing our fitting later, okay? Don't forget. 2pm. At the La Boutique. I can't wait to see our outfits for your party!"

"Hmm. Okie! Hehe." Jungkook gave him his famous bunny smile and showed him a thumbs up.

He was about to go back and focus on his work when suddenly, his phone started to vibrate on his pocket.

His doe eyes widened seeing Taehyung's name on his screen, sending a new text message. His heart starts to race and Jungkook hesitantly glances at his cousins who are now in their own world.

Biting his lower lip, he quickly unlocks his screen to open the message and there, another wave of butterflies started to fly around his stomach, his cheeks burned.

Taehyung:

Hey beauty, I miss you.

Jungkook tries to control his blush seeing his alpha's text. It's been more than six hours since the last time Taehyung had seen him and yet the alpha already misses him. Silly alpha! The thought brings another wave of butterflies, making him feel giddy.

Jungkook:
