 Chapter 15

   Hope

While walking to the safe place Vincent said his friends to take us, I couldn't stop thinking about Vincent. His beautiful lips, his smile, those eyes that made me feel sure, safe, and such heat I have never felt before. Suddenly my right arm started to bother me, like electric waves going through my veins. The pain grew stronger till I could not stand no more.

"Dianys! What's wrong?"- Gina screamed worried. She came to my aid and tried to help me stand, when she noticed that I was back to my normal look, with my brown wavy hair and brown eyes. "Tell me, how do you feel Dianys". She tried to explain to me the fact that I was back to myself. I could not believe it, but I felt some sort of relief. To be back to myself. Zak suggested that we should rest because it's been a few ours from where we started walking and Tairin wanted to check the perimeter. "We can rest here near the river, we are very close to the diamond caves, ill check the surroundings while you take a drink of water and cool of, the sun is almost gone for the day, we should hurry, ill be quick". Tairin then went to look if it was safe while we gathered water like Jak just suggested. Also, I needed a moment to breathe and enjoy the fact that I'm back. "Wow, this is crazy, everything we know about magic, magical creature, was a lie, I'm just glad to have you both by my side while going thru this. I mean, not that I'm enjoying you two getting in danger, but, you understand, right?" I was so relief to say it out loud, I know they understand.

"Of course, besides, how were you going to face all this alone, it would be insane, not to mention the fact that there trying to kill, you know, completely normal stuff." We started to laugh so hard, we needed it so much. Now I'm sure we will get to the answers we need and find a way back home.

Chad was quiet, definitely not himself, something was bothering him, something else. "Hey! you, ok?" Gina could tell too and went to talk to him. He was sitting near the river, playing with some rock and throwing them. "So, are you going to tell what's on your mind? And don't even try to deny it or lie, ill know, so talk". He looked at her and saw the woman of his dreams. He was grateful for having her and that they finally get to tell each other their feeling, and that act of love, was the best moment in his entire existence. Touching her face he said. "Babe, I fear that we might not get safely home, and I only want to finally live this amazing life with you. And of course, I worried for Dianys, I want her safe and happy, she's a sister to me. But I never imagine you loved me as much as I love you, and to think I could lose it and not have the chance to live it with you, just kills me". He was truly worried for their safety and fear they may not get a chance to embrace their love finally. Gina was more in love with her idiot, Chad, she took his hands in comfort and said to him. "You know, even if we don't make it, I'm glad I finally told you how I feel and to know this part of you I did not know. And for having the best day of my life. Feling you that way, your smell, your heart, all of you, I can die happy. But know this, I have a feeling we will make it, ok? just have a little faith." And kissing his cheek to assured him every word was true.

Suddenly Tairin appeared and started to give the instructions so we can hurry to the diamond caves, first we gathered water and some herbs they said were great to treat illness and some wood from a specific tree, its wood and roots were for remedies too. We walked just a few hours, I think some 3 to 4 hours, on car it would have probably been 1 and half. The way to the diamond caves was enchanting. Every tree, every bush, every flower and bird were just as beautiful. Even thow this was something dangerous, I was somehow glad to see such wonders. "The diamond caves are a few steps ahead, they are the mines the first king used to get the riches for the kingdom, but after the war, nothing was the same and the workers had to leave and start a new job somewhere else in the kingdom". Tairin was explaining.

"How is your arm, I see that you are the princess" Tairin asked me.

"It's so much better, thanks and yes, it definitely feels great to be back to my real self." With a smile, he gave me some water and walked next to me to keep me company. Further on you could see the entrance to the cave. For some reason my heart began to beat harder and harder. I was so nervous that my vision began to blur. I tried to take a deep breath to calm down. But something told me that it was not dangerous, only an emotion of surprise flooded my heart. Have I been here before?
