Dark Past

Vincent was walking looking to find the witch, but instead he found Chad and Gina. He walked 5 minutes and then found them. He could see something was bothering Gina, it seems as she was running away from danger. He began to run towards them to see if something was wrong.

-agh! Vincent! where is Dianys? -Gina was exhausted, she was running indeed.

-Why are you fatigued Gina, Chad is she hurt? -Vincent hurried to ask.

Chad started to explain. 'We just saw the witch giving some sort of drink or whatever to a goblin, are you sure she is on your side?' Chad was very angry with the fact that old woman could not be trusted. Vincent was frozen for a moment. With he's right hand he reached he's head and began to analyze Chad's words.

- 'We need to get back and get Dianys and my brother, I'm sure there's another explanation for what you saw.' Vincent was just not sure anymore of what was really happening, but he knew he was going to do all for Dianys, no matter what.

- 'No! we need to get Dianys. Talk on the way over the cabin'. Gina did not care for any explanation, she only needed to see if her friend was ok.

They rushed to the cabin feeling anxious, knowing something is not right. Once they got there, the witch was entering the cabin. 'No! Let go! Hurry!'. Gina felt for the first time such fear and anguish, she just could not imagine someone hurting Dianys. So, she rushed to open the door, and saw Dianys sitting next to Vincents brother, Tairin and the witch standing next to them. For their surprise everything was calmed.

- 'How did you get here before us?'. Gina demanded with caution looking straight to the witch Clarisa. The witch was confused and so was Dianys and Tairin. She stepped back a bit, she could tell the young woman was angry. Dianys was amazed, it's been a while sense she seen her that angry, and it was not about Chad, but one time on the orphanage a girl used to pick on her and Gina just stand for her, that day they became best friends. And Tairin was just amazed how entertaining he's day was.

- 'I do not understand why you speak to me that way, if you could possibly explain to me, ill be glad to help'. She was calmed, but Gina just got angrier.

- 'Help my ass! What were you doing with that bottle you handed to the goblin?! Answer us that!' When it comes to her friend, Gina is a beast, don't try to fool her. The witch was amazed with her reaction and question and got angry too and stepped closer Gina.

- 'I consider myself a calmed woman, but don't temp me to be the opposite, and again, I don't understand what you are speaking of, but I was not near a goblin and definitely not providing any potion, I assume that's what you meant with the bottle reference.' She was clearly mad, and started to dislike Gina to the point she does not like her granddaughter having a friendship with her.

Gina was so mad; she even confronted the witch as if she was ready to have a cat fight. Chad immediately steps in, and tried to calmed Gina by touching her hand, and said, 'We saw you in the forest handing over a potion to a goblin, and we need to know if that was you or you have a twin?'. Of course he did not trust her anymore, anyone dares to speak or treat Gina wrong, were immediately on he's bad list. The witch eyes changed, she was furious, how dare he talk to her that way too. She walked to the wall next to the little kitchen that had potions made by her. She could see a few were missing.

- 'I will not speak of how you are talking to me now, and I do not have a twin, but I can see a few of my healing potions are missing, and one that changes the height of any object. My only guess is shapeshifters.' Everyone's faces changed; more creatures they did not imagine to be real. At least for Dianys, Gina and Chad, because for Vincent and Tairin was completely normal.

- 'Clarisa! Is that even possible? If it is, we must leave now, it's not safe anymore. 'Vincent was concerned and too worried to even hear Clarisa's explanation.

- 'Brother please, hold on, let the witch explain'. Tairin hurried to he's brother and talked calmed. Vincent removed he's brothers' arm from he's shoulder and walked to Dianys and spoke to the witch again. 'Just explained everything as fast possible, we cannot stay if there are really shapeshifters here.' He showed everyone that he only cares for Dianys safety and of course he's friends, Dianys was shocked with how he reacted but started to worry.

- 'Vincent, please. Clarisa, explain'. While touching gently Vincents arm, Dianys said to the witch, who was annoyed by the situation already.

- 'Do you see these potions?' asked the witch. 'I made these my self for our protection. Shapeshifters are one of the most dangerous creatures here in our land, if my suspicion is correct, then yes, we must leave now, if neither of you are experts on recognizing if a shapeshifter is near, you will die and put all your friends at risk. I do not know yet how it past my magic shield around the cabin, but I will not let it hurt my granddaughter.' Clarisa was a powerful witch and hated the idea of anyone outsmarting her.

Dianys stomach felt ill, it was weird to hear someone else care for her like family. But still something was not right, something was missing, but what?
