Dragons

The floor started to move, it was shaking, an earthquake was happening. They all move near the doors, the entrance and the one that lead to a room. Everything was falling of the shelves and walls. The eco sound that comes after was just terrifying, Dianys was so terrified, she remembers the only time she experienced one great earth shake on the island, she was at collage and was walking to her science class. She hated that day, her teacher got stuck between a tree and the bench she was sitting that afternoon at, her injuries were so serious she got an infection and died at the hospital after battling for 3 days. She was a great History teacher, Mrs. Summers. Vincent took my hand; he knew I was shaking in fear too. I grab it tight, I felt like my world was falling apart, I just needed a bit of extra strength to know I was going to be ok. He softens he's eyes to assure me he was not leaving my side. "Eyes on me love, it will pass". He just knew what to say, I took a big breath and calmed myself again. The witch saw us and immediately felt worried.

- "It's over, we must take what we can and leave, after all, we don't know if any of those bastards are still around, right Clarisa?'' Tairin knew they must go, especially when he doesn't know anything of, he's wife and daughter. The witch looked at him and spoke.

-"That's correct, we should get going now, and as for your accusations young folks, I love my kingdom and my family, I will defeat anything that comes and alter that peace, so here I am, a witch who is also The mother queen of this kingdom and the one that will give justice , so either you join me and save your friend , or get out my way' 'They did not expect such speech, and they were glad she was not who they saw in the forest with a goblin. But still, Chad and Gina were not that sure. Still, they acted as if they trust her just for Dianys sake, Afterall, they didn't have enough proof of what they saw.

The witch took a few of her potions that didn't break and got a basket with a few items like some bread, cheese, a blanket with some sort of needle and some rare tools I have never seen, looks like something she would use when she's preparing her potions.

"We should get going Clarisa, I'm smelling someone and its none of you". Tairin got serious, he's face changed completely, there was danger near.

"He's right, but is familiar, I just can't determine who, also, a few of our clan are coming, I send a message earlier with my brother's wife, we need help to get to the Diamond mines, we need to get closer to the castle if we want to get that book you talked about earlier". Vincent agreed with Tairin and suggested how and where to go to safety. The witch agreed also, and they walked to the door to exit finally the cabin.

While walking Gina took my hand and pulled me close so she could tell me something to my ear. "I know this is a lot but, don't trust anyone just yet, I have a bad feeling, and also, I have a lot to tell you, but that will be later". With a naughty small laugh, she back of a bit to keep walking next to Chad. Something is going on between those two. I smiled back and move my head up and down to let her know that I agreed.

Outside we could see it was getting dark, the barrier the witch made for protection was broken. "I don't understand how they did it, but I'm guessing your uncle has made new powerful friends and they are very good with magic. But he forgets how powerful I am, oh well, he will find out soon enough". She was a proud woman, and hated people outsmarting her, now, I'm sure.

Suddenly an explosion occurs right next to us, I could not hear anything. My eardrums were just buzzing. I started to look for Gina and the boys, when I see a gigantic troll. It was furious, dripping saliva every were with each scream. I finally see Gina and acted fast, ran to her and showed her some sticks on the floor, we needed to protect ourselves somehow. I felt like someone grabbed my arm and pulled. It was Vincent trying to help us, next to him was Chad and Tairin. Where is the witch?

"!!!! Stay away from my granddaughter!!!". The witch shouted as she cast a spell pointing with her index finger. she managed to make the troll stumble, the troll could not get its balance back and fell rumbling on the ground. "Now! Run!" the witch shouted again. We ran in the direction Tairin and Vincent pointed, north just the opposite from where we came thru, and so we did without hesitation. We ran for minutes. I did not know how long, but it felt like an hour, but I'm sure it was less. I saw water a few feet away in front of us and saw two young men next to it. "Brothers!" Tairin shouted. One was skinny and very tall, black long silk hair. Very handsome. The other was short, robust and had long wavy brown hair. Also, handsome. "Thanks for coming, we should get going, the witch needs our help, take the princess and her friends to safety. You know were in the Diamond mines. Ill go with Paul to help Clarisa. Tairin, go meet your family. They must be worried." Vincent said two the young men. Then walked to me, took my hands very delicate, he tensed his jaw and said to me. "I said I would protect you and I will, these are my trusted friends and clan brothers, they will give their life to protect you and your friends. As soon as I help Clarisa, ill returned, please, wait for me and be safe." Then he kissed my left check and turned to go with Paul, the short one. And just before my eyes they transformed themselves into their natural forms. Two beautiful and powerful dragons appeared in front of us. Paul's dragon was a beautiful dark blue. But Vincents, it was so magical and powerful. An incredible dark green, it looked just like and emerald, as shiny and rare. His eyes were scary, I knew he did not feel comfortable transforming in front of me. I felt it. Once they transformed, they flew away to the forest again. "Well, I'm Zak, please, let me assist you princess". He was charming. "You can call me Dianys, and thankyou for helping us". He smiled and pointed us to the direction we needed to go.

"It's amazing all that's happening, but seen Vincent transform into a dragon, is a whole new level, I'm not ever forgetting him for not telling me, this is just too cool!" And Chad came back to his old self, and Gina looked at him as an idiot. Yes, they were feeling safer and themselves again. I just hope nothing happened to them; I miss Vincent already.
