Truth

While the shining moon light shined towards us, we sat on a big rock, touching the water with the tips of my feet. All I could think about was his naked body, but suddenly I remember what I really wanted to ask him about this place and my grandmother. "Vincent, need to ask you, why am I allowed to enter this secret place and not my grandmother? Tairin said you would explain, so please do ". He looked at me nervous and sad, as if he knew that was, he was about to tell would bother me. "My clan trust her, and the other creatures have fought by her side, but they don't trust humans anymore because of your uncle, and sense this place is not just ours, we decided to keep it a secret, your grandmother was ok and understood how they feel. And so, we've been here for years but we have kept our promise to help in this war, because we have faith that the kingdom will be peaceful again and that all creatures will be free from any future danger, and we can become friends with humans again". I understood what he was explaining, but still, why let me? I'm human too.

"I understand but that does not explain to me the fact they have let me know about this place and why they are trying so hard to keep me safe and even keep my friends safe." I needed him to be as clear as possible, because I know there is much I don't remember from my past. Clasping his hands and stroking his knuckles he began to tell me everything he knew about me and my family.

"Dianys, you must listen to every word with an open mind, its information about your past and it will seem hard, even cruel, but I will tell you everything, so please, listen to me trying to understand why all happened the way it did, is that alright with you?" I quickly assured him that I understood what he meant. "Please, don't hold back on anything, I will do my best to be open minded, please tell me". I started to beg; I was feeling sentimental.

He stood up and he began to walk in front of me from one side to the other, like someone who is anxious and worried.

"Dianys, you are not a just a human, you have magic in your blood." He took a deep breath and continued to explain. "You see, your father, King Alfonso was a human, but your mother was not, she was the princess of the Elven realm, you are half human, half elven. That's why they protect you, you are part of us, and a princess in our realm." My head was drumming. I felt heat run threw my veins. My stomach felt sick. What? How? This was more than I thought it was.

"Are you ill Dianys? You seem to be shocked with all this, why don't you sit, I'll get some water for you." He quickly helped me to sit next to a beautiful bush next to the water. Then he took a stick and gave a few smacks to the big boulder near the water. The sound seemed to call the mermaids, who appeared immediately. "Prince Vincet, princess Clara, how may I serve you?" A beautiful mermaid said. Her hair was like silk, dark silk. Her skin was such a dark chocolate tone, just mesmerizing. Her eyes were as blue as the sky, and her lips were like roses, such beautiful red. And her tail was like a priceless red ruby. "Athena, please just call me Vincent, and the princess does not remember her past yet, please call her Dianys. And please can you get me a cup for I need to give her some water." Vincent knew I did not feel comfortable with those tittles or name, at least not yet. She did as he told and brought me a cup. It was so pretty, it's a type of shell. "Thank you so much, I'm better now" I said to both with a smile so they would not worry no more. The mermaid seemed she wanted to tell me something but didn't know how, so I asked her. "Athena, is there anything you want to ask me or tell me?" I could see she felt a weight lifted away. She approached us and sat on the edge with her tail in the water. "Princess, I mean, Dianys. I have an ability with dreams, maybe I can help you remember more. You see, each mermaid is unique, have certain abilities that help our kind, and I would love, it would be my honor to her you in any way I can." I felt such joy, in that moment my hope came back to me. "What do you think Vincent? Should I try?" I asked. "I believe in my mermaid friends, and also believe is a great help, go ahead and try" So I told her to explain everything I needed to do so she could help me. "Well, it's with dreams, so you need to relax and close your eyes and try to sleep." Vincent approached me trying to sit next to me. "If you don't mind, I can help you with that, you can lie down on my lap, and I can caress your hair so you can relax and fall to sleep. Its that alright with you?" How caring and sweet can he be? But will I be able to fall asleep knowing I'm that close to him?
