Birthday Surprise

A/N -- [BoO spoiler mentioned...] Leo's already returned from Ogygia in this one. It's short, but I wanted to update //something//.

As soon as she woke up, Annabeth knew it was going to be a great day.
The weather was perfect (as it always was in Camp), no pranks from the Stoll brothers were discovered in the Athena cabin, and it was July 12.
Annabeth's birthday.
The morning proceeded as normal, with a few "happy birthday!'s" in between. The only puzzling thing was the fact that Percy hadn't shown up to breakfast. Pushing down the fear of the whole 'kidnapped-by-Hera' fiasco occurring again, Annabeth decided her boyfriend was only sleeping in.
The door to the Poseidon cabin creaked as she opened it, hearing no answer after knocking.
Empty.
Refusing to panic, Annabeth figured he must be at the beach.
And at the beach he was.
Just as the beach came into view, with the waters of Long Island Sound sparkling in the morning sun, Annabeth took a startled step backward as her friends all shouted a loud, "Surprise!"
Annabeth grinned, taking in the blanket spread out on the sand, with the sea-green and gray cake, eighteen candles already lit up, her friends all standing around it. "Aw, thanks guys."
Piper smiled, giving her best friend a huge hug. "It was all Percy's idea."
Annabeth raised an eyebrow at her smiling boyfriend. "Is that so, Seaweed Brain?"
Percy shrugged. "Figured since I kinda missed your birthday last year-- with us being trapped in you-know-where-- you deserved something extra special this year."
Annabeth wrapped her arms around his neck. "Well, then, let's not keep the fun waiting."
Leo whooped. "Now that I can agree with!"
Percy grinned, giving his girlfriend a quick kiss. "Happy birthday, Wise Girl."

Oh, gods. Each update gets worse and worse. Sorry 'bout that. I'm running low on ideas. Hopefully I'll have something else posted soon. I've got a few more ideas running around my head...
