Same Day...

"Mama's let me call you back..." "Zac don't you hang up this phone..." Fatima told him with a warning.

"Baby, please. I just want to talk to you." the woman pleads, shakingly,

"Fine Ma. Come in..." Zac huffed letting Amanda in the door.

"Can we at least have a seat?" "NO!" "Zac!!!" Fatima yelps to him. "Fatima." "Show her some grace," she told him.

"Thank you Fatima." Amanda says, "Don't thank me yet because if anything happens to him, I won't show you any mercy." Fatima replied back, Thanking God Big Ma lives so close to a Target.

"Fine, let's go." Zac said gesturing for Amanda to go first because he didn't want to take any chances.

They get to the living room, Zac sits in Big Ma's recliner, while Amanda sits on the couch that's slightly adjacent.

"Zac, I'm going to hang up to give you guys some privacy but I'll be there in 8 minutes," Fatima said.

"Ok Babe, see you soon." "Yup! See you soon." Fatima replied, hanging up the FaceTime call.

Zac places his phone in his pocket, "So you said you had to talk, so talk..." he told her irritably.

Amanda takes a deep sigh, "I know I can't erase the past or the amount of pain that I caused you. But I here to make amends." she starts. "I hurt you and I'm not proud about that. I..." she stops getting choked up. "I..." she stutters. "I messed up big time. I lost everything and everyone I loved and I hate myself for it." she told him.

"Your sister died because of me.." she choked out. "You went into foster care because of me.." she confessed.

"Because of my actions it resulted in the fucked up relationship I have with you today and I completely understand your mistrust towards me Zac, I really do but I'm trying..." Amanda admitted.

"Are you?!" Zac finally uttered, as he heard the door open, with voices in the distance.

"Yes." Amanda voiced sincerely. "I'm no longer using and I'm trying my best to stay away from Joe." She admitted. "Doris at the church and my probation officer helped me to get a job at Ross and with my first paycheck. I bought you and my granddaughter a gift..." "So you think you can just buy my love back." "No Zac, it's just a gift. I swear." she starts to sob at the harsh response and reality that she's faced with.

"I know this won't make up for the pain but I'm asking for forgiveness Zac." she said with tears streaming from her eyes. "I can't get that from your sister and now that I'm sober it eats away at me...." she voiced achingly. "I sold my baby girl for an addiction, I put you in harm's way one too many times to count and you got taken away from me and Momma..." she says seeing Big Ma come into the living room with Fatima in tow who has Iyonna on her hip.

"I want to thank you for saving my son from the system." she told her. "As I told Zac, I hate myself for the pain I caused this family but I really would like....no, I would appreciate the opportunity to be granted access for you to allow me to show you how much I have changed." she says, wiping her tears away.

"Bi Mama.." Iyonna uttered, looking at Big Mama. She signs while saying, "e, e" for eat.

"I'll go feed her." "No, we all will." Big Ma said, sternly. Gesturing Amanda to get up. "Come on."

"I agree." Zac says, as Big Ma and Amanda left the room.

Giving him a minute, Zac looks into Fatima's eyes with bloodshot redness in his, then said, "I want you to be here. I need you here. I don't wanna do this alone..." he told her, sniffling a little with shaken speech.
