6 months later...

"Good Morning Cupcake. Morning Munchkin." "Morning," Fatima says in a chipper tone. "Hi Bi Mama.." Iyonna said as they walked over to her, giving Big Ma a good morning kiss, while Iyonna wrapped her little arms around her.

"MMMMMMUUUAHH!!!" Iyonna says with a gleaming smile, like Fatima taught her when giving kisses.

"How are you feeling?" "I'm ok." Fatima said sitting at the kitchen table, "Better than I was yesterday.." she says, as she strapped Iyonna in her high chair after placing her in.

"Yeah you had them "baby blues" but I'm glad you're better today." Big Ma said, "Let's see if you can keep something down today...."

"Thank you." Fatima said, seeing the spread placed before her and Iyonna.

She takes a bite of the avocado toast. "Mmmm.." she utters with delight. Big Ma laughs. "That good?..." "Big Ma you have no idea..." Fatima grumbled, with a satisfying eye roll.

"Well good." Big Ma said, kissing Fatima on the temple then getting her a plate. "It's good to see you're back in a good head space."

"I couldn't agree more, Big Ma.." Fatima murmurs, taking the necklace pendant into her fingers rubbing it as she ate, then glancing down smiling at her growing belly.

To say it's been a long six months would be an understatement.

When Zatima went to the doctor that day, they ultimately made the decision to proceed with the pregnancy. Although it was against Dr. Fisher's suggestions, Zatima believed in God's power to take control over the situation for an outcome of a miracle.

However, when it didn't go that way. Sadness, rage, and grief filled the atmosphere, especially with Zac leaving directly afterwards and even more there after.

This often left Zatima alone and heartbroken. However, at the same time. Mia, Nicholas, and the kids along with Beverly, Richard, and Fatima's aunt Latrice and Amanda all came to help out in any way they could, making sure Zatima was straight and safe.

As Zac continued his missions with the Air Force, he called home like clock work everyday to check in whenever he was away, while seeing the grief counselor that the Air Force provided for him. And just like always, sending flowers home for comfort. Fatima quit her job with no forewarning the day after her miscarriage over the phone to completely focus on her health, mentally and emotionally, as well as her family.

After having a heart to heart with Mia the day she lost Lil' Cupcake, Mia suggested that she stop using birth control altogether and just opted into condoms if she didn't want to get pregnant.

Fatima agreed to a certain extent, and when she spoke to Zac, they agreed to do so during her ovulation periods. However with the way they go at it, especially when he came home from his missions, condoms were an epic fail.

They could never remember in the heat of the moment to put one on after her body fully healed from the effects of the miscarriage and the birth control all together. And now here we are...

"Hey Lil' Peanut..." Amanda chimes to Fatima's belly, with a new grandmother smile after greeting Fatima.

Fatima chuckles, "Ms. Amanda, we don't know if it's a boy or a girl, yet. I just made 3 months.."

"Peanut is a unisex nickname but with the way that baby is growing it's definitely a boy." "I couldn't agree more Amanda.." Beverly said, kissing Fatima on the temple.

"How are you Baby Girl?" "I'm good Momma." Fatima says rubbing on her belly. "I just get uncomfortable sometimes...." She mumbles, trying to fix the pillow in the back of her.
