Story summary: A fun chapter where Medkit teaches Tripmine how to drive!!

Tripmine and Medkit were becoming sophomores soon. School ended about two months ago, and they've been hanging out ever since. They also turned sixteen, so that means they're able to get their driver's license! Well, only one of them so far.
Tripmine's family never had time to teach him how to drive, but Medkit's family did. So Medkit was first to get his car. He had a fancy looking car. It must be nice to come from a rich family. Tripmine's family is rich too, or was... he doesn't know how much money his dad spent on alcohol, or other stuff.
Just last week Medkit got his first car, actually. Tripmine hasn't seen the car or rode with Medkit yet, so he's quite excited. Medkit was coming over to pick him up and drive him around; Medkit needed to practice driving and Tripmine wanted to come along. So that's why Tripmine was waiting excitedly.

"I'm outside."
Tripmine revived a text and read it. He quickly replied with "okay" before grabbing his snow coat and leaving the house, meeting Medkit who was in the driveway. Tripmine went to the passenger seat and sat down.
"You have a cool looking car, Meds!" Tripmine leaned back, chuckling. "You're so lucky to drive!"
"Yeah, thank you." Medkit gripped onto the steering wheel.
"Where are we headed to? Or are ya gonna drive around town?" Tripmine asked.
Medkit shrugged. "Don't know. I guess we could drive around."
"Let's get something to eat, how about that?" He asked.
"Ooooh, okay!" Tripmine smiled.
Medkit started the engine and backed the car out of the driveway, then they drove off.

They didn't go that far; the ride didn't last a minute until Tripmine immediately saw the fast-food restaurant McDonald's. After begging Medkit with puppy eyes, they went into the drive thru and got themselves food. Tripmine promised to pay since it was his idea in the first place. Medkit let him order and pay for his own food.
Tripmine got himself a happy meal. He was giggling and smiling like a little kid. Medkit didn't get anything, fast food restaurants aren't that good, in his opinion.
