Chapter 6
Amina couldn't shake off the memory of Omar's piercing gaze and aloof demeanor. She found herself wondering about him, his interests, and his life beyond the charity gala. Who was this enigmatic man, and why did she feel drawn to him?
As she sat with her friends, Zeebu, Amrah, and Baby, during lunch, Amina couldn't help but share her encounter with Omar. Her friends listened with wide eyes, teasing her mercilessly about her obvious crush.
"Amina, you're blushing!" Zeebu exclaimed. "We've never seen you like this before!"
Amrah chimed in, "Yeah, Amina's always been the last person we thought would fall for someone!"
Baby added, "And Omar Al-Fayed, of all people! He's so... intimidating!"
Amina rolled her eyes, laughing. "You guys are ridiculous. I'm just curious about him, that's all."
But deep down, Amina knew her friends were right. She had never been interested in the opposite gender, always focusing on her studies and family. Why was Omar different?
After lunch, Amina returned home and immersed herself in her assignments, trying to distract herself from thoughts of Omar. But her mind kept wandering back to him.
Later that evening, her father announced, "We've been invited to dinner at the Al-Fayed house next weekend. Sheikh Al-Fayed wants to thank us personally for our support."
Amina's heart raced as she processed the news. Dinner at the Al-Fayed house? With Omar? She couldn't believe it.
Her mother smiled, "It'll be a great opportunity for us to get to know them better."
Amina's father added, "We should make a good impression. Let's discuss what to wear and how to behave."
Amina nodded, her mind already racing with thoughts of the dinner and Omar.
