yesterday felt like a fever dream when i got up. fortunately it was the last day when that happened so no one could ask about it after. i smiled whilst making my breakfast; finally i was getting a two week break after all that hard work.

i opened my phone to a bunch of texts from the group, scrolling through them mindlessly. i almost forgot we had planned to go fishing today.

i quickly washed up and took a shower before they came. i texted them to pick me up last since i woke up the latest. i heard an engine outside, signalling their arrival.

"mum, i'm leaving now!" i shouted from downstairs.

i heard shuffling around as she replied. "alright honey! stay safe."

i shut the door behind me and got in the huge van. however, only a spot next to heeseung was vacant and i looked around. they all looked smug as they motioned for me to sit down quickly. i huffed in response and took my seat.

jay looked in the rearview mirror. "buckle up. everyone! we're going on a road trip!" shouts of approval followed and i laughed.

the van held seven seats which was perfect for our group. at the front was jay who was driving and jungwon in the passenger seat who had a bad of snacks and drinks for us during the journey. he claimed that stopping at the rest stops for food was a waste of money and i agreed.
