when i got home, i didn't realise how high spirited i was and flopped onto my bed, covering my face in the pillow and blushing when i recalled the earlier events. i kicked my feet in joy.

i took out my phone and instantly alerted sunoo and jungwon of what had happened.

"i'm surprised you made the first move!" sunoo exclaimed excitedly, slapping me with a pillow.

i grunted and swatted it away. "well, he already said he liked me so i suppose i had a better chance."

"you never know," jungwon shrugged. "you took so long to give him a proper answer. he could've found someone else in that amount of time"

i shivered at the thought. only i could have heeseung.

a notification pinged on my phone and my friends peered over curiously. i snatched my phone before they had a chance to read it. it was from heeseung and i almost giggled.

i read the message out loud and they gasped dramatically, urging me to say yes quickly.

i blushed and texted a quick bye before turning off my phone, sunoo and jungwon eyeing me.

"you're blushing!" sunoo laughed, eager to rub it in my face. i hit him with the pillow and he groaned which satisfied me enough.

heeseung picked me up in his fancy car and handed me my favourite flowers which were also my favourite colour. i didn't question how he knew my favourite flower and instead took them gratefully with a hug.

"where are we going?" i questioned.

"the arcade, unless you wanna go somewhere else?"

"the arcade sounds fun." i was all giddy inside, trying to suppress my excitement. i loved the games and i used to play everyday after school until schoolwork caught onto me.

"we're here."

i hopped off and practically ran inside, heeseung trailing behind me like a puppy. we headed inside and i instantly went to the shooting game. heeseung watched as i got an almost perfect score and applauded me.

"where to next?" he asked.

i thought for a moment. "ooh, wanna go to the photo booth?" he grinned and followed me in. we took four pictures with silly accessories they placed inside. i snorted at heeseung's goggles and he just wrapped an arm around my shoulder and posed. we pulled silly faces and last but not least, a kiss which took me by surprise.

i placed the photos inside my pocket, making mental note to stick it on my wall so i could remember this moment.

we strolled over to the claw machine and my eyes shone at the huge dog plushie. heeseung noticed and beckoned me over, sliding some coins in. i watched in anticipation as he moved the claw carefully with concentration written on his face.

i was too focused on his features that i didn't notice when he declared that he had won it. he looked at me with pride and i congratulated him with a wide smile plastered on my face.

"here," he handed it to me without a second thought. "it's for you, darling."

i paused. "for me?"

"who else would it be for?" he laughed and i noticed how his eyes crinkled when he laughed which i found so adorable. i took it from him reluctantly when he insisted it was a gift from him. i couldn't deny that i wasn't ogling at the plushie anyway.

"thank you so much, hyung!" i kissed his cheek and he looked back at me fondly.

we stopped by a fancy little restaurant after playing on some more arcade games where we cheered each other on. whilst eating, we kept the conversation light and laughed at each others jokes. i realised that today was probably the most i had smiled in a while since my cheeks were hurting.

"i have a little surprise for you," heeseung pulled me with him eagerly and i went along with it. the only thing on my mind was how nice and warm his hand felt fitted around mine. they were still intertwined when we got off the car.

i noticed that there was a beach and marvelled at the sight of the sunrise. this time, i dragged heeseung with me. we both laughed giddily when he held me in his arms and we collapsed on the pile of sand beneath us, our heartbeats the only sound in our ears. i closed my eyes and listened to the wind whistling, wanting to stay like this forever.

however, heeseung had other plans as he picked me up again and breathed slowly. i watched him as he stepped forward and brushed my hair from my face delicately.

"sim jake, will you give me the honour of being your boyfriend?" heeseung stated with his large bambi eyes.

my answer was obvious. i closed the gap between us and landed into his arms and he caught me, our lips moving in sync. i wold never forget this moment.
