We are confused, wandering without knowing our motives, desires, or destinies.
Trapped in a race, aren't we all running on the same track? We don't know what we truly want,
Who we want to become,
Or what we dream of.We follow what we're told,
Living out someone else's dreams, not our own.
Yes, we dare to think,
But are those thoughts really ours? From the day we're born, we're burdened with duties and responsibilities.
Are we truly independent, or is that just an delusion? We resemble "Ved" lost in the "Tamasha" (chaos),
Not knowing who we are, why we are or what we are!Author’s Note
This poem is inspired by the central character, Ved, from the movie Tamasha. Ved's journey of self-discovery, inner conflict, and the struggle between societal expectations and true passion struck a deep chord with me. Through this poem, I’ve tried to capture his emotional turmoil—the tension between who he is expected to be and who he truly is. I hope you can feel the weight of that conflict and perhaps reflect on your own story while reading.
