Together (Sonadow)

*Shadow's POV *
I didn't want to believe anything she was saying, but she looked so much like me. She had made me sit down next to Faker on my couch as she explained to me what was going on. I couldn't bring myself to accept it, I had a kid with him in the future, and we named her Maria.

"I need you to stop fighting for a while. And explain to me what happened?" She said after she finished explaining. "Why are you two suddenly at each other's throats?"

"Suddenly? Shadow has been trying to kill me since he met me." Faker said and rolled his eyes.

"I will if you don't shut up, Faker." I glared at him only to earn a glare from the girl standing in front of us. She was not afraid of me at all. "What do you want?" I said, clearly annoyed at her.

"His name is Sonic. You have to call him by his name from now on." She crossed her arms and leaned on my foot.

"Why would I listen to you?" I scoffed.

"Because the Shadow I know would do anything for his little girl." She smiled. "I also know your weak spots."

"What are you talking about?" I raised a brow, and she walked closer to me. Suddenly, I was the one who was scared. "Get away from me." I growled, but she simply got closer and grabbed my arm, yanking me forward and looking at my back.

She grabbed Sonics' hand and placed it on my back quills, making me tense up. "You massage this spot, and it instantly deactivates him." She giggled. "He's so tense from work."

I immediately sat back up, pushing the two of them away. "Don't touch me!" I snapped and got up. "Fine." I crossed my arms and leaned back on the wall.

"You have an off switch. Good to know." Faker smirked, I wanted to punch that smug look out of his face, but somehow, I didn't want to hurt him in front of her.

Everything she said was adding up. I believed it, but I didn't want to admit it was true. At some point, I was supposed to end up with him and have a kid.

"Look, Maria. There is no way Shadow and I would ever end up together. Maybe it worked for your parents but not for us. That's not us. I mean, it is us, but it isn't? Time traveling is confusing." Faker rubbed his face. He looked like he had a headache.

"No. You two are meant for each other! Really! Please. I don't want to lose my family." She desperately shouted. "Please explain what happened."

There was a knock at the door, causing Maria to get startled, then looked back at us. "I have to go." She immediately said, and before Faker and I could stop her, she disappeared.

"What the -" Faker said and got interrupted by another knock at the door. "Great. Now I have to go look for her." He sighed then looked at me. He always looked at me with anger and hurt in his eyes ever since that day. I hated it. I wanted him gone.

"Get out of my house." I snarled, then looked out the window to see Silver. "What the hell is your psychic friend doing here?"

"Silver?" Faker got closer to look through the window. "I am not sure."

I walked to the door as Faker hid in the closet and opened the door only to see his friend glancing around as if looking for something. "Shadow! Hi! Sorry to bother you." He said rather nervously. I crossed my arms, wanting to know what he was doing here. "I am looking for this girl. Have you seen her anywhere?" He showed me a picture of Maria.

"No. What did she do?" I decided to ask.

"She went missing, I am just trying to find her and take her back home." He explained rather quickly. "If you see her, please let me know."

I nodded, and he left. I closed the door behind me, then turned and saw Maria walk out of my office. "You gave up your office for me." She said in awe.

"What are you talking about? Get out of there." I said as I walked to her and closed the door.

"This is my room in the future. I never thought it was your office." She explained and smiled at me, causing me to take a step back.

"Why was Silver looking for you?" Faker said as he walked out of the closet.

"Because Uncle Mephiles was in charge of keeping an eye on me, and I sort of ran away to grab Uncle Tails' device to come back and fix things." She explained quickly. "If he sees me, he'll take me back and just let everything run its course. He thinks I shouldn't mess with this and that everything will be okay, but I know he is lying. I overheard him talking to Uncle Mephiles that he wasn't sure how to help after he noticed I was having withdrawals."

"Withdrawals?" I asked.

"Her hand started disappearing earlier." Faker explained then looked back at Maria. "Everyone else is going to be looking for you now. They'll tell Silver as soon as they see you."

"Can I stay here?" She asked me. "Please! I can't go home! Not until you two get back together."

"Maria, you're going to be waiting forever. There's no way Shadow and I would get together." Faker said. "I want to help, I really do, but there's nothing I can do."

"I would never end with someone like him." I rolled my eyes.

"Stop it!" Maria screamed at us. "How come I am the kid, yet I am the only one acting like an adult here? Stop being childish and just makeup already."

Faker was going to say something when his communicator started ringing. "Tails is calling me. I should go before he starts looking for me and finds you." He walked to the door. "I'll see you later, okay?" He said to her, and she nodded, and then he looked at me. "You ARE going to let her stay here, right?"

"Of course I am, Hedgehog. Now get out of my house." I crossed my arms and watched as he left. Maria walked up to me and then hugged me, I tensed up not being used to this but let her, I couldn't bring myself to hug her back. At least not until she started crying.
