We built a world of borrowed dreams,
With fragile hopes and silent screams,
Two hearts entwined, but never whole,
Each step we took on shifting coal.

You spoke of love in words so sweet,
But we were bound by hearts of deceit.
Promises hung like stars above,
Yet crumbled in the face of love.

We tried to mold what couldn't be,
Two puzzle pieces, incomplete.
Our hands reached out, but grasped at air,
Lost in a love that wasn't there.

The cracks we hid beneath our smiles,
Grew deeper with each passing mile,
Until we stood on separate shores,
Two strangers where we once were more.

No bitter words, no final fight,
Just fading sparks and dimming light,
A love that bloomed, then fell apart—
Two broken souls, one fractured heart.
