-Two months later-
It was five-thirty in the morning when Wonwoo was awoken from his deep sleep. The culprit was the sound of his phone obnoxiously ringing from his bedside table. He groaned and let out a curse when he saw Jeonghan's name. Nevertheless, he valued his life and knew better than to hit decline.
"Wake up!"
No greeting, no good morning, no 'sorry for calling you at such an ungodly hour, Wonwoo'. Just being told to wake up. Before he could even begin to curse at his friend, Jeonghan continued.
"It's my wedding day!"
"I know," Wonwoo grumbled. "You haven't let me forget for two months now."
Ever since Jeonghan and Sungcheol got engaged, Jeonghan went from a slightly reserved person to someone who couldn't shut up for more than two seconds. He was almost worse than Soonyoung, something Wonwoo didn't even know was possible. All Jeonghan could talk about for the last two months was his wedding. While Wonwoo was happy for him, loved him, and valued his friendship, he wanted nothing more than to strangle him and give him a sedative. Jeonghan ignored his annoyance and continued yapping.
"You're still coming, right?" He asked, sounding the tiniest bit anxious.
"Wouldn't miss it for the world." He answered half-heartedly. After all, it was only the...thousandth time he had asked him.
"And you're sure Soonyoung will come too?"
"If Soonyoung doesn't come, I promise to drag him there myself." He promised. He was going to take Soonyoung down with him, one way or another. "Mr. Kim gave us the day off and he closed the store."
Because Jeonghan and Sungcheol had used The Nook to plan their wedding, Mr. Kim had begun to feel attached to them and was more than touched when he received an invitation to the wedding. Wonwoo had to admit that it was a little strange to have his boss attend his friends' wedding, but they all agreed Mr. Kim was like their father and it would have been weird for him not to be there.
"Good," Jeonghan said happily, making Wonwoo's head throb. How could someone have so much energy before the sun was even up?
"And Mingyu is coming, right?"
"Of course he is. You practically forced me to invite him, remember?"
"Just checking!" Jeonghan chirped.
Wonwoo let out a long sigh. He knew he'd regret asking, but he was concerned for his friend's wellbeing.
"Jeonghan, when was the last time you slept?"
"Maybe yesterday." He answered after some thinking.
Wonwoo shook his head. "And how many cups of coffee have you had so far?"
"Six, wait, make that seven. I forgot I just made one."
Wonwoo winced. He was going to crash before he could even say, 'I do'.
"What about Sungcheol?" He tried, worried about his other friend's well-being at this point.
"Still sleeping." He replied grumpily. "I don't get how he can sleep on the most important day of our lives."
Wonwoo chuckled to himself a bit. "He just wants to be well-rested so he can make the day perfect for you."
He smirked to himself. He just saved his friend's life and now, Sungcheol owed him one. However, his victory felt short-lived. Sunlight was starting to seep through the bedroom window. Wonwoo eyed the clock. It was nearing six now. He had to get Jeonghan off the phone or else he wouldn't have any peace.
