Despite contrary beliefs, Kwon Soonyoung and Lee Jihoon were a calm and quiet couple. They were just both performers who enjoyed annoying one Jeon Wonwoo with annoying outfits and loud humor. Their relationship could be summed up as follows, Soonyoung would come up with the most insane idea known to man, and Jihoon would tell him how embarrassing and stupid it was before going along with it. They took joy in getting a rise out of their mutual stoic friend. In reality, most of their date nights consisted of sitting on one of their couches watching a movie.
Tonight's date was no different. They were sat on Jihoon's couch watching a foreign film Soonyoung couldn't name. His mind was elsewhere anyway. He had been off since that afternoon after talking with some of his old classmates from his dance group in high school who had passed the store. They spent a while catching up and when revealed he had a boyfriend, his old friend patted him on the back with a smirk.
"Getting it regular now, huh?"
Soonyoung had briefly been confused by the comment until he pieced it together. He and the friend used to be close, as well as the whole dance group and Soonyoung knew no shame, so he corrected him.
"Oh, no. We don't do anything like that."
The friend frowned, seeming confused. "Why not?"
Soonyoung shrugged. He didn't know why. They never talked about it. Soonyoung had chalked it up to them still being a new couple and that they were still trying to figure things out.
"Just haven't."
Another old classmate hesitated before asking Soonyoung a question. "Soonyoung, are you still perhaps..." She leaned down to whisper. "a virgin?"
Soonyoung's face flushed red but he held strong. "Yeah, so?"
The others shared a glance before looking back at him. "And you're okay with that?"
Soonyoung shrugged once more. He was okay with that. He enjoyed making vulgar jokes to Wonwoo who always gave the perfect reactions, but in all honesty, he didn't actually think about sex that much. He didn't understand why others made such a big deal about it either. It wasn't all there was to life. Besides, he preferred their cozy date nights, but as he sat on the couch, sneaking glances at his boyfriend every now and then, he couldn't help but wonder if he was missing out on something. What if Jihoon had been waiting for him to make a move?
"Soon-ah, I can feel your burning gaze on me," Jihoon said, not even looking away from the movie. "Am I more interesting than the film?"
Soonyoung nodded without hesitation. Jihoon definitely was more interesting than the film. However, the light flirting did nothing to calm his growing nerves and he began to fidget with his fingers. Jihoon noticed and finally turned to him.
"Everything okay? You've been a bit distant tonight." He noted.
Soonyoung managed a smile. "Just a lot on my mind." He was silent as he formulated a plan. "Kiss?" He asked innocently.
Jihoon smiled, scooting closer to him to grant his wish. Their lips met in a gentle kiss that felt like floating on air. All their kisses were like that and Soonyoung had been content with that, but he was curious now. He swiped his tongue across Jihoon's bottom lip and the other opened without hesitation. With new space to explore, Soonyoung took his time, only pulling away when his lungs screamed for air. Both were slightly breathless as they pulled away. Jihoon quirked an eyebrow.
"That's new."
Soonyoung shrugged. He was doing a lot of that these days. "Couldn't help myself."
Before Jihoon could reply, Soonyoung joined their lips once more and continued to explore more of his boyfriend. Before long, Jihoon was lying against the couch while Soonyoung was hovering above him. His lips had long left Jihoon's and were now staking claim on any exposed flesh they could find. The other was making quiet but pretty noises beneath him, giving Soonyoung further courage. It was when he grabbed Jihoon's wrists that it all came to a screeching halt. Jihoon's body tensed and his breath hitched.
