Soo-min sat by the window, rain tapping softly against the glass.
Her mind replayed the image of Taehyung and Hana from earlier that day.
Hana had sent a photo of them at a café, laughing, giggling, cheek kissing and looking incredibly happy. Heart twisted at the sight.
"They look so good together." she muttered, scrolling through her messages. She saw the photo again and felt a rush of envy. They were perfect together—funny, charming, and totally in love.
Soo-min's phone buzzed with a notification from Hana.
Hana: Miss you! We gotta hang out soon, alright? 😊💖
Soo-min forced herself to smile and typed back,
Soo-min : Totally, let's plan something! 🙂
Hana: Yay! 🙌✨ Can't wait! 🎈

She didn't have the heart to tell Hana the truth. The truth was that every time she saw Taehyung and Hana together, it felt like a sudden kick to her emotions.
"I should be happy for them" she said to herself, wiping her tears.
Her guilt was overwhelming.
She felt like she was living a lie, pretending to be okay when she was anything but.
She stared out at the rain, wishing she could wash away her feelings. "Why does loving someone who's already taken feel like such a punishment?" she asked herself, knowing she had to keep her pain hidden for everyone's sake.
