Soo-min watched from the sidelines as Hana and Taehyung practiced their routines for the school talent show.

Hana's cheerleading moves were flawless, and Taehyung's basketball dribbling was impressive. They were in their element, and Soo-min couldn't help but feel a mix of admiration and heartache.

"Looking great out there!!!!" Soo-min called out, trying to sound enthusiastic.

"Thanks, Minnie!" Hana shouted back, her face lighting up with a smile. Minho waved at her. "Come watch us perform. It'll be fun!"

Soo-min's smile faltered as she nodded. "Sure, I'll be there," she said, but inside she felt like crying.

Watching them together was bittersweet—she loved seeing them happy but hated feeling her one-sided love.

As they practiced, Soo-min sat on the bleachers, trying to focus on her homework but getting distracted by their laughter.

"They really are perfect" she thought. "And I'm so glad for them?..........Am I?..........Yes, I am."

But that didn't make it any easier for her.

The guilt of her feelings made her feel like a terrible friend.

After the practice ended, Soo-min walked home alone, the weight of her emotions heavy.

"Why does loving someone who's with someone else have to be so painful?" she asked herself, feeling like she was fighting a losing battle against her own heart.

"Can I ever truly be happy for them when it hurts this much inside?"
