It was Sunday, a slow day. Levi wiped the counter for the third time. His gaze went, first to the large windows. It showed the dark grey sky, the rain pelting the parking lot, but no sign of his two best friends. No sign of any real customers, either. The only person who had come in, so far was Erwin's "boy". That was where Levi's gaze went next.
The boy sat at the table all the way in the back. It was off to one side, slightly away from most of the other tables. Levi had thought this could be used as a sort of staff table, how it was hidden next to the short hallway for the bathrooms. Yet, this boy had taken it as his own. Levi wondered if it was due to him being able to place his back to a wall? Or maybe it was because it was one of only two other tables, that had an outlet beside it? There was the off chance, that the boy was trying to hide from the large windows.
He could still see out the windows from where he sat, yet seeing him from outside.... Unless you knew exactly where to look, he would be slightly hidden behind the booth just before the table. It was oddly placed, Levi noted. He frowned at the boy. He hadn't said a word to Levi. Just took his money out, piling it neatly in the table, and setting to work on his computer.
Levi was glad that Erwin rambled so freaking much! If it hadn't been for that, he wouldn't have a clue as to what the brat wanted! Levi growled now. He was cleaning a clean counter. It was nearly noon. Erwin and Hange were out getting shop supplies.
"Brat!" Levi called out.
The boy flinched a little, but didn't look at him. Levi scowled. He didn't like being ignored. Well, he didn't like people needlessly bothering him, but when he wanted to bother others, he didn't like them ignoring him.
"BRAT!" Levi said louder.
The thunder punctuated his voice. The boy flinched, glaring out the window before turning that stony blue green gaze upon Levi. Levi smirked as he held up two fresh croissant sandwiches. The boys expression turned to confusion. Then he went back to his computer. Levi growled.
"Listen hear, you little brat fink!" He stormed as he stomped from behind the counter.
He was in a mild rage, something Erwin called his temper tantrum behavior. Levi just called it, other people being stupid to piss him off. He stormed up to the table. Setting both sandwiches down, he said nothing. He arched an eyebrow as the brat looked up at him. Levi turned his back on him, smirking once he knew brat couldn't see his face.
He went back to get the fresh pot of coffee. He came back, refilled the brat's cup, who watched this with those alluring eyes. Once more, Levi stomped away. He made himself some tea. Grumbling and growling to himself that Erwin better hurry up and get back here. He was running out of fresh tea leaves! Once the tea was ready, he went back to the brat.
Brat hadn't touched the sandwiches. He sipped the coffee. "Thank you." He whispered holding the cup up.
"Those are for you too. They will be thrown out if no one eats them." Levi plopped down in the chair across from the brat.
He pulled the wrapped food to him. His hands were large, strong, but somehow damaged looking. Levi sipped his tea. He had seen kids like this. Hell, he had been a kid like this! With a few added things going on! Levi sipped his tea, peering over it, he watched the kid.
The boy picked up both sandwiches, one in each hand. He then sat the heavier one down, pushing it across the table to Levi, he grinned at him. Levi nearly spat out his tea. Damn this kid was good looking. He choked back the sudden surge of emotions running through him.
"I don't typically eat now." He told the brat.
Brat sat his own sandwich down. It was unopened. "Well, neither do I, but you brought over two sandwiches." He gestured between them.
