How should Levi find Eren?

He uses his demon abilities 1

Should Eren be easy to find?

Armin leaves "breadcrumbs" for them to follow. 1

Do we want Hange to experiment with Eren's blood/ DNA?

Maybe if it is needed for the plot 1

"How are you feeling?" Eren asked.

He had set Armin down against a tree. The fresh air, plus being out in real nature, was definitely improving the elf's appearance. Eren's anger had cooled. He was back to his normal looking self. He sipped some water that Armin had in his bag.

"Great." Armin grinned. He lifted up his shirt.

The bullet wound was a thin red line. The angry swelling and redness were gone. He was breathing far easier than before. It had only been a few hours. His stomach rumbled.

"At least I had breakfast before leaving." He sniffed.

Eren had been fighting hunger pains all day. They didn't have any money. It was the middle of the day so they couldn't just steal from somewhere. He would have to endure until night fall. He sipped again from the bottle.

"What did he say, or do, to make you run?" Armin asked.

He stretched his arms up, twisting he felt his body move. It was nice after being injured for so long. Eren looked away. He had yet to speak about Levi. Armin sighed.

"Fine, when you're ready..." The blond began.

"Eren, you up here?" A voice yelled out over the clear still air.

"Armin, you guys hungry?" Another voice yelled.

Just then the wind shifted. The smell of meat cooking floated out around them. Armin wrinkled his nose. He had always hated that smell. Yet, he knew Eren. Sure enough the others stomach rumbled rather loudly. They looked at each other.

"Connie and Sasha. They are a bit far from home." Armin offered.

"We aren't far enough. Let's get going." Eren stood. Armin refused.

"You need to eat, Eren." He insisted.

Before Eren could do anything, Armin opened his mouth. Eren frowned at him. The elf blew out his breath over a small patch of ground. Then, he raised a hand. Instantly berry bushes began to grow. Raspberries, Strawberries and Eren's favorite, blackberries. Armin knew better than to try to grow blueberries. His friend hated them.

"If we stay here too much longer, they will come up looking for us." Eren warned.

"Just eat." Armin snickered.

Levi had transformed. It had been months since the last time he had done so. His shoulders and head were mostly the same, aside from the horns now sticking out of his hair. Everything else was vastly different. His lower body was black. He had a black tail, half of his arms and hands were also black. His eyes glowed a deep resonating blood red. This was his true from, half human, half demon. He sniffed the air.

He had left Hange and Erwin at the café, so of course they were only about fifty yards behind him. They were following his scent more than anything, he was sure. The werewolf was close to having his abilities at max proficiency. The full moon was only a few days away.

At first Levi had wondered a bit aimlessly. He went in the general direction that the titan had gone. He was able to follow some footprints for about two thirds of a mile. Who knew what Eren had done to hide his tracks. They simply vanished into a bush. Neither his scent nor the tracks came out of it. At random, Levi was forced to pick a direction to go.
