Should Eren and Armin go back with Levi?
Yes, duh! 1
What happens to Mikasa?
She comes by to thank Levi for keeping his word, and he tells her how they are connected. 1
Should Grisha or Zeek come back yet?
Maybe, if there is a reason for it. 1
"It's morning." Levi called out. Eren groaned from somewhere within the massive tree.
After they had eaten the night before, Eren said he would let them know his answer in the morning. Levi had insisted that he take watch.
"It's not like I sleep much anyway." He offered.
Armin only agreed if Levi woke him when he felt tired. Levi had nodded, but knew that he wouldn't. Even if he did sleep, it would only be for three hours. Then, it would be a light sleep. He would still be intune to everything around him. More than one thief attempted to rob him while he was asleep. More than one thief now had only a single hand.
"I got a lizard and an eel." He called again, hoping to entice the others awake. He wondered into the kitchen.
Looking around, he tried to find something to skin the animals with. There was nothing here. He couldn't even find a drawer or cupboard door.
"Armin hides them." Eren yawned as he scratched at his stomach. Levi blinked at him.
Had he gotten better looking? Or was Levi just... he paused. No, no way was he falling for this insolent...
"BRAT!" Levi growled.
"Don't yell at me. I'm not the one that hides everything in a tree! Armin let me out or I'm pissing in the corner again!" Eren called.
"You're coming back, right?" Armin rolled out of a wall.
Levi blinked. There hadn't been an opening there! This elf was something else.
"I just have to relieve myself." Eren huffed.
The opening blossomed in between the kitchen and living areas. Eren dashed for it. They heard him running into the woods. Levi held up the carcasses in his hand. Armin wrinkled his nose at them, but produced a knife from nowhere. He set Levi up in a corner as far from him as he could.
"How do I get him back?" Levi asked.
"You wait." Armin smirked.
He set to growing vegetables, roots, nuts and fruit for breakfast.
"How long?" Levi growled.
"As long as it takes. It has to be his choice, or he won't stay." Armin insisted.
"Yeah, I get that. The whole caged/ trapped thing." Levi didn't talk as he worked on the meat.
Eren came back. He wasn't alone. He snarled as he marched toward the kitchen.
"Apparently she has been watching the house all night." He glared at Levi, swiping the knife from him.
"Can we talk?" Mikasa asked.
"Yeah, alright." Levi saw that Eren was taking over his job. He followed the wolf girl outside.
"What is it?" he asked once they were far enough away. He could still see the small den in the hill.
"Thank you." Mikasa whispered. She made a face.
"You kept your word and released me." She added when Levi failed to say anything.
