A cup of coffee was placed before him. Hange was drenched in sweat as they continued to work on the boy. Erwin dutiful mopped their brow, while handing over instruments to the surgeon. Levi was keeping a close eye on Eren. After making his announcement about leaving, he hadn't said another word.

Levi had peppered him with questions. Where he came from, what Armin was, what he meant by "What he had done to me?" none had been answered.

Levi could see that the man before him was tired. He had bags under his eyes. Aside from the bruising, his skin didn't look that healthy either. It was sallow looking. He appeared to be starving to death, very slowly. Levi had attempted to give him food. It sat, congealing, on a plate next to him.

To his immense satisfaction, Levi saw Eren curl his hands around the warm coffee mug. It had been hours since the men had come, taunted Eren then stole Hange's car. The doctor was going to be pissed once they discovered that. Hange was a peace loving being, until riled up. The thought made Levi smirk, as he sipped his tea from between his fingers.

The morning sun was just poking up over the deserted parking lot, when Hange leaned back. They swiped their dirty sleeve over their forehead.

"You need to shower." Levi spoke in a monotone.

"Once I know..." Hange began.

Levi was on his feet. He grabbed the back of the docs collar.

"Nope, he will be asleep for a few more hours, you have time." He commanded, dragging the protesting being away from their patient.

"You should eat." Erwin winced at the food next to Eren's elbow.

"Not this!" He swiped the dish aside.

Making his way to the kitchen, he never heard the man move. As he looked up, while gathering what he needed for breakfast, he saw Eren taking Hange's seat. One large hand cupped the small one of the boy on the table. Eren laid his head over the beating heart. Erwin watched them for another moment or two, then the screaming started.

He quickly moved to shut the door between the shop and where they lived. The sounds were muffled, but he could still hear Hange berating Levi. They all knew, the small owner was going to win. He always did. Erwin smirked at the reality of his friends. He looked back over his shoulder. Neither of the two occupants had moved.

He set to work making breakfast. He was a decent enough cook. At least when it came to breakfast foods. For some reason, he just loved to cook up eggs, bacon, pancakes, waffles, pretty much anything you thought of as breakfast, he enjoyed cooking it. Maybe it was something about it being the first meal of the day, he wasn't sure.

Hange came down in clean clothing, putting their long auburn hair back up in the bun. They sniffed at the scent of food. Glancing over, a whimsical smile touched their lips.

"So cute! Do you ship them?" They asked. Erwin rolled his eyes.

"Why would I?" He snorted.

Levi stalked into the kitchen. It was as if his eyes were drawn to the dark haired male. They widened when they didn't see him at the spot he was left. Spinning, almost in a panicked way, Levi searched for him. Finally his steely grey orbs landed on the hunched figure. His tight shoulders relaxed at finding him.
