Chapter 15

Addie paced back and forth as she thought of the fact that Tyler's birthday was the next day, or was he not aware?

" Nah, how could he forget his own birthday?". She wondered and she instantly had an idea.

She quickly checked her account and beamed when she saw that she still had enough money.

She met a bodyguard and clung his shirt.

" Please can I ask you for a favour?". She begged and he gave her a confused look.

" With what, young miss?". He asked as he stared into her pup eyes.

" I need to get some things from the supermarket and I need you to accompany me. I really need your help". She begged and after a while of silence, he agreed.

They drove to the mall and she got some cake ingredients, decorating items and pondered on what to give him as a gift.

After shopping, they drove home and she carefully hid all the items and made sure Tyler wouldn't see them. She didn't want to ruin the surprise.

Tyler returned home but Addison was already asleep. He walked towards the staircase but glanced behind him and saw dinner.

He walked closer and saw the note. It said:

                                 stomach []≈

He smiled as freshened up before taking his dinner. She was deeply into her sleep that she couldn't even hear the noises he was making.

' How come you're so exhausted?'. He asked himself as he stared at her sleepy figure. He lifted her in his arms and carried her to her room.

He stared at her with his arms crossed and his back leaned against the wall as he stared at her.

At every single moment, she looked dazzling and he knew clearly that when she's around him, he's no longer himself.

He looked down at his trousers and groaned.

" Not today. She's asleep and she obviously looked tired". He said still staring down at his trousers then back at her.

Since when did he start caring about anyone's feelings? He could have whatever he wanted but he just felt like he shouldn't no matter how much he wanted her.

" What the heck is she doing to me?". He asked himself. He knew that he has never been attracted to any woman before no matter how many that has had a one night stand with him.

He stared at her body then back at his trousers then at her body again and shrugged.

He quickly left and went to his room before his lust takes the best part of him.

___    Addison woke up in her bedroom. She knew she had slept on the couch the night before and after a little thinking, she realised that Tyler must have carried her to her room.

She quickly rushed out to wish him a happy birthday but he wasn't there. She ran outside and asked the bodyguards and they said that he had left already.

Disappointed, she wet back in to prepare the surprise for him. She knew he wouldn't expect her to know his birthday.

He must've received a lot of gifts before returning home so she had to make hers a little extra.

Tyler sat in his office and stared blankly into space. He looked gloomy and knew it was his fate.

As he got lost in his own world, the door blasted open and he turned to see his father.

For some reason, his face lit a bit but frowned.
