Hate.

That's what filled Law's heart. Hatred for the man who used him. The man who manipulated him. The man who influenced him, following a dark path with no return. A man who tried to kill the person who saved him, separating them for 13 years. That man had destroyed the life of anyone who got on his way, having no regard for them. And once again, he left Law with nothing.

Hate. Hate is all Law had at that moment. For yet again, Doflamingo had taken everything he cared about.

Corazon stared at Law, still in shock. After years of being away from each other, he finally faced the kid he tried to save 13 years ago. Not only that, but he was in a deplorable state, exhausted on the floor, blood emanating from deep cuts on his body.

"Law . . ." He softly said his name, tears welling up in his eyes.

The pirate, almost with no strength left, slowly turned his head, having heard a very familiar voice and all the anger and frustration that was in his head vanished immediately. Law couldn't believe his eyes. He finally got to reunite with his savior, the man who changed his life.

" . . . Cora . . san" Law got on his knees, trying to get up, but couldn't, for he was too exhausted. He stopped clenching his fists, a woolen hat falling from his hand.

Corazon watched as the blood from Law's hands dripped down, staining the sand and the hat he just dropped. "What happened to you?" He kneeled next to Law, helping him get up.

Zoro ran next to them to help as well. "We need to get you to Chopper right now"

"Wait . . . the woolen hat" Law struggled to get the words out of his mouth.

Zoro looked down, seeing the stained hat, it was the wool hat you wore all the time. He took it from the floor and looked at Law, who could barely keep his eyes open. "Law, where is Y/N?"

The night before that incident, the Punk Hazard group was still sailing towards the meeting point, where the other half had docked the Thousand Sunny, as to not be seen in Dressrosa and alarm the Donquixote family. After getting there, they would rest, and the next morning, the rest of Law's plan would go on.

Yet again, another night watching the stars, too many thoughts plaguing your mind. Nevertheless, the sight of the stars calmed you whole, but now, knowing you were supposed to be one of them, you felt homesick in a way. But how could you even yearn for a place like that, where you had never been? These few days you had been sailing from place to place, you didn't feel like you truly belonged anywhere. You didn't know what your purpose was. Or, maybe, you were afraid of what it could be. You were afraid of so many things. Your powers, the people that may want to use you, the people you cared about leaving you . . .

Maybe that's what you yearned from the stars of the night sky. The blissful sleep of ignorance. The stars didn't know anything about human affairs, as if anything mattered to them. But you were plagued by burdens, and you couldn't forget about them.

Why were you there? A star, fallen to the earth, one who holds the power to change the world, for better or worse.

What were you supposed to do? It's not like you had the power to control your own destiny, always running away from something. Maybe that something was your destiny, and you had to accept that. Maybe you couldn't decide, and that was the tragedy of it. These people you were meeting, these places you were seeing, maybe, it wasn't meant to be. As much as you thought you had left that place behind, you actually never escaped it. Because in the end, a part of you wanted to go back to that golden cage.
