Law was looking up at the sky, the only light source being the stars of the night. Clenching his fists as he tried to suppress his anger and sadness, he began to walk around the deck of the Thousand Sunny. He needed to think about what to do next, as his plan was ruined due to Doflamingo knowing everything about it.
He stopped for a second, his frustration over the situation taking the better of him. His heart was full of anger towards Doflamingo. He never thought he could hate even more that man, but he did. In his pursuit of numbness, he ended up hurting himself more.
Why did he do this to himself? Sheltering from any kind of affection. He wouldn't conceive love, for he was afraid of the consequences. As such, he had deprived himself from any emotion, or so he had thought, for the heart was much stronger than the mind. In the little time he got to know you and be with you, his heart wasn't his anymore. So as much as he tried to hide away, when the moment arrived, his fears came true. As much as he had fought to not feel it, when you were gone, pain flooded his heart. All that time he had spent repressing his emotions were in vain, as no one could fight the misery of love.
The negative emotions in his heart were too much for him to bear. This is exactly what he wanted to avoid. Suffering for the loss of someone he loved, as he had suffered all his life. Yet again, that erratic feeling was getting ahold of him.
"Law" A voice called for him in the darkness of the night, pulling him back to reality.
Law looked at the man, still unable to comprehend how it was even possible. "Cora-san . . ." He tried to control his emotions, but it was more difficult than he thought. He quickly ran over to him and hugged him, trying to hold back his tears. "How? How is it possible? How did you survive?" Law asked his savior while holding on to him. "I had missed you for the longest time . . . Everything I did, it was for you, Cora-san" He then pulled back to look better at him. He was silent for a second, so many questions in his mind. "Where have you been all this time?"
Corazon looked at Law with a melancholic expression, but gave him a sweet smile. "I'm so sorry Law, really. I would have looked for you and be with you long ago. But I needed to protect my daughter"
Law stared at him confused. He had a daughter? Right then and there he made the connection. "Y/N . . . she is-"
"Yes, she is my adoptive daughter" Corazon explained. "I know you are exhausted from what happened to you on that beach, but I need to know what happened to her" Corazon begged Law. He had a serious expression, frowning. "It was my brother, isn't it?"
The pirate looked at Corazon, the words unable to leave his throat as he remembered the scene. "Yes . . . Doflamingo . . . he-" Law looked down, clenching his fists at the anger he felt inside. "Doflamingo took her away. He threatened to kill us all of she didn't go with him. And . . . she complied"
"So that's what happened? My damned brother and his lunatic obsessions . . ." Corazon murmured angrily.
"I need a new plan" Law stated, anger visible in his eyes. "I need to destroy Doflamingo . . ." He said with a dark aura, the desire of vengeance getting the better of him. Corazon noticed that darkness in Law's words.
"Law . . . you need to control your feelings. Your hunger for blood against Doflamingo could end badly for you" Corazon warned the young man.
"I do not care what happens to me. If I can stop Doflamingo once and for all . . . then all of this will be over and Y/N will be safe. Don't you want that? To get your daughter back? For Doflamingo to have retribution for all the crimes he has committed?"
