--Unknown POV--

I was in my room. It was rather large to be honest. Well decorated and very clean. My bed was rather large for only myself. I told my parents about it but mother said that someone of my standing had to have accommodations such as these. I grabbed the hair brush on my bed before walking to the body mirror in my room and see myself.

A teenage girl who's about to turn fourteen tomorrow. Though mother said my body developed faster than normal girls. I wore my favorite blue dress. I took off the tiara on my head. It was one of mother's gifts. She gave it to me in one of my birthdays.

I used the brush on my long blonde hair. My mother always compliments my hair, so I like to keep it clean and well.

I stopped brushing my hair and placed the brush on top of a dresser. And stare my blue eyes, another trait that my mother compliments.

I sat on my bed before I heard a knock on the door and a voice spoke from the other side of the door.

"May I come in, Elise?" I heard the familiar voice from outside and recognized it. It was my mother's.

"You may, mother."  I replied. While we were taught to speak formally, I am always content to see her when she and father aren't working.

The door opened and I look at my mother, the Queen Consort of Elsker. Elizabeth Elsker.

"Are you ready for your big day tomorrow?" She asked. Ever since the last month, she hasn't stopped reminding me about it. I mean, I am excited about it, too, so I can't really help but smile. Though I also feel nervous, I've never been good with big events like this.

"I am, Mother. A bit nervous though." Completely truthful. I will turn fourteen tomorrow. Which means, starting tomorrow, I will start receiving letters for suitors.

"Do not worry, my dear. It's your 14th birthday."

She mentioned with a sympathetic smile and sat next to me.

"I know. It's just... well, now I will have to start looking for a suitor" I replied to her, voicing my concerns.

She grabbed my shoulder and answered with a soft, reassuring smile.

"Well, technically yes. You will soon start receiving letters. But you know we don't have to rush it straight away."

Hearing her answer, I smiled and answered.

"Thank you."

There was a small silence between us. There was something I wanted to ask, but I wasn't sure, if I should. Still, I really want to ask.

"W-Will my sister be there, too?" I said as my voice broke a bit. My sister is a topic my mother always preferred to avoid.

I saw her eyes shifted to the side for a moment before she answered.

"I, uh... I don't know. You know that's up to your father." She said. I knew she would answer something like that.

"Right..." I simply commented a bit disappointed.

The day of the birthday came. I am excited sure. But seeing the grand party my parents organized, I can't help but to be nervous. I've never been good with large crowds like these. I get nervous and sometimes I stutter when I speak.

I was currently dancing with a nobleman. It is tradition for a princess in her official presentation to accept the invitation of those who wish to court her. Still, this is too much to me. I can't even look at them in the eye. I am not ready for marriage.
