It's been a few days since we caused that incident in the gambling room. We were riding the horses through the path to Driveill city. One of the cities connected to the Grand Lake.
"Okay, we got fifteen silver pieces from back then." I begin, wanting to share our progress with Divna and Arcol. "We used four in supplies for the ship ride and a bit more. And it's gonna be another three pieces for the fees. And there's also gonna be a fee for the horses. We're probably gonna stand at a six or five pieces in the end."
"That's still quite the sum." Divna commented.
"It should be enough for us to the Driveill city. However, we should save it for it." Arcol added.
"What do you mean?" I quickly asked.
"Elsker does not have any big settlements outside of the Flowiria continent. Most human settlements in the Noxar Continent are ruled by the Kingdom of Rivannia. And most of their cities have a toll for outsiders to enter." Arcol answered my question. Really?
"R-Really?"
"Yes."
I couldn't help but sigh. We really can lose all of our money in fees? I guess that's what I get for always sneaking in.
After a while, we reached the port in the city as they watched various very big boats. Not only that, but there were various merchants in the port trying to sell us things.
"It's been a while since I've been in a boat." Arcol commented with a a faint smile.
"Last time we were headed back home after everything." Divna commented with her same stoic attitude.
I notice she uses that tone when I'm near, but I've also heard when she only talks to him, her tone changes. It's softer and calmer.
"Yes. Here we thought everything was at it's end." He said while looking at the boats.
"And yet it completely hasn't." Divna said with a grim voice.
"Sure must've been rough times." I asked without thinking.
"You have no idea, kid." Arcol replied to me. But I was able to sense a regretful tone in it.
After some time I was now speaking with the captain of one of the boats. He was a middle-age man with a few wrinkles. Had a black bushy beard and long hair in brads. But his most notable characteristic was the eye patch on his left eye.
Talk about recognizing a pirate.
Next to him was a young man wearing a sailor outfit.
Still, as the guild girl said, he is charging us a silver piece each.
"That's how it is, kid. A silver piece per head. But the horses is an extra fee." The captain said.
Honestly, I'm not surprised.
"Thought as much." I commented. "How much for each horse?"
"Half a silver piece each."
"Very well." Sounds reasonable to me.
I grab the exact amount of coins from my pouch before giving them to him.
Stone started to form from the Sailor's hand as it turned rectangular with two words engraved. "The Eleanor."
Isn't this a little too vague?
"Isn't this a little unsafe. Anyone with rock magi can make it." I decided to voice my worries.
