--Divna's POV--
It was night time. Keyllar and Arcol were asleep in their sleeping bag while I was sitting near the campfire. Keeping it alive.
I almost failed my mission.
Never in my life has that happened before.
I stare into my hand and create a blaze on it.
"Can't sleep, huh?"
I hear Keyllar's voice behind me and turn to him.
He was just standing there. Honestly, I didn't hear him move.
I don't think it matters right now, though.
I grab some wood and placed it on the fire before firing the blaze on my hand to revive the fire.
"I guess that's a way of seeing it." I answer to his previous question.
Keyllar walked next to me before sitting down.
I still remember a bit. Right before I fainted, he awakened to magi. I saw a blaze.
"You can use magi now, huh?" I comment.
"Seems like it." Is all he says before firing a burst of flames into the air.
"Not sure how it happened, but it seems to be the same as yours. Of course, I don't know how to use it like you. You have great control over it, I can only burst it out." So he says.
But it took me at least weeks to do it on command. The first week was an utter disaster.
"Well, it is like that for everyone the first time, I guess. You'll just have to hone it." Practice makes perfect. Arcol always says that.
Still, at that moment, sudden memories sprung back to my mind. It was an instant. But it was as if I relived them again.
"You saw my memories, didn't you?" I commented. I doubt those flashes came out of nowhere.
"If that's what you would call it, I guess. It was mere flashes, though." He commented.
Did he also see what I saw?
"You want to talk about it?" He asked.
What is he trying to do? Is he trying to find a vulnerability or something?
I can't answer. But he's a stranger. I don't care if he judges me.
I hear him sigh before he was about to stand up.
"In a way, I felt you seeing them." I begin before he stayed put. "That made me remember all of that again. It reminded of what I've lost."
I said while looking at my right hand. The hand I use to grab my weapon.
"Of what I became."
I look at him. Why did he not run away?
"Why did you not run away?" I decide to ask him directly.
"Hmm?" Is all he muttered.
"You must've realized Arcol wouldn't have chased you in the state I was in."
It's true. I doubt Arcol would have leave me alone to chase him.
"True..." He started. "Maybe I just felt sorry for you."
Sorry for me?
"Is that right?" I asked without hoping an answer.
I can't help but sigh mentally. I heard that things get better if you talk them out. Besides, I wouldn't care if he judged me.
