"This fucking baby." I huffed, carrying the baby carrier as I walked into Khayri's house to drop off the baby for the weekend and talk to his little sisters.

It had been about a month since I checked in with Yanni in person to make sure that she was okay and still handling everything well. Despite her being younger than me, and me viewing her as some sort of a little sister, she was still a great friend to have.

"That la' shit still a crybaby?" Kha emerged from his room, shirtless and rocking a pair of humungous basketball shorts.

"Not really. I might've broke it because it's only been crying like three times a day now." I laughed a bit and handed him the carrier.

"So I just give her back Monday?"

"Yeah, since you gotta work." I replied. "Where Estelle?"

He sighed, "We moved her into a nursing home. She became too much and the doctors was saying she need around the clock care."

I bit my lip in frustration, angry at the fact that Kha's grandmother, Estelle, had been moved out and I had no clue at all. But I guess that's what comes with friendships drifting apart.

"We still go see her and shit. Hallie up there right now, then she going with her friends or whatever for the rest of the weekend." He further explained.

"Damn it, I wanted to talk to her."

I always missed his youngest sister Hallie whenever I went over their house. She was the busiest eleven year old I knew. She always had some cheer competition going on, or was out with some group of friends.

Whereas Yanni, even when she was younger, would be at home a lot taking care of Estelle and Hallie. She helped Khayri a ton which was why I never liked his attitude toward her involving her pregnancy.

"You'll never catch that girl. She always got something she gotta do," He waved me off and grabbed the carrier, heading back into his room.

I looked around briefly noticing how out of place everything in the house was. Their house was never known to be dirty, but today it was. The sink was filled with dirty dishes, clothes sitting out, just an entire mess that neither I or Estelle would be comfortable living in.

I decided on minding my business and going to Yanni's room which was clean despite everything in the living room in kitchen. She was sitting in the bed with a bag of hot fries, looking like she was in deep thought about something.

"Yanni?" I snapped my fingers, laughing as her eyes averted over to me, her face looking as if she were completely startled. "Yo' ass in deep thought, the hell you thinking about?"

"Girl, this gender reveal. I don't even see the point in having one anymore but that feeling didn't hit me until all of the flyers got sent out. I'm so dumb, Kacie. I barely have anybody in support of me being pregnant so why the hell would I have the bright idea to host a gender reveal?" She huffed, rolling her eyes and eating another hot fry.

"Fuck them people. If you wanna have one I can help you plan. Neno and I will be there front and center even though you don't know him like that imma still make him come."
