Chapter 7

THE WAVES are big but cannot reach the shore.

"If I forgive you, will you leave me alone?" Phuwin asked while his eyes are stil fixated on the sea

Pond sighed three times before nodding his head. It pains him to say yes because he knew inside him that he can't stay away from Phuwin but if that's what he wants then he will obey him. So that no more pain he will cause to him.

"I will, if that's what good for you" he blink his eyes multiple times to stopped his tears from falling

"Do you even know what's good for me?" Phuwin asked again

"Phu"

The boy shook his head before throwing stones at the sea. 

"You didn't know what's good for me Pond. What I said in that message is true but it doesn't mean that I'll be in your easy access. Until now I'm still adjusting but I suddenly like the changes in my life. When you did that to my twin I was truly disappointed but for the past days you already gain my forgiveness"

Pond's eyes widened for what he heard. His heart skips triple times. He became speechless.

"What---I mean is it true that you already forgive me?" he stammered

Instead of answering, Phuwin walked that he immediately followed. The boy run leaving Pond shock.

Pond ran after him and they started chasing each other. Their laughter filled the air untill they both give up in exhaustion. Phuwin laid on the sands and Pond did it too. Silence engulfed them before Phuwin broke the silence.

"Why are you doing this Pond?" he asked that made the other man puzzled

Pond change his position and laid sideways so he can face Phuwin.

"Doing what?"

Phu played with his necklace that's made of small shells.

"This. Coming here at the island to ask for our forgiveness and help the resto just because Mom said, you stayed even if we mistreated you and Gemini even beaten you. You could've just left everything happened behind and move on with your life"

A sigh was released from Pond. He stared at Phuwin's side profile like he is memorizing and examining all the corners of his face.

He realized that this is the first time that he's this closed to Phuwin. The first time that he can stare at his stunning face freely, not in the picture, not in the paint nor in the sculpture of woods and clay but in reality. He is looking at the most beautiful man in the world for him.

"That's impossible Phu. From the day that I read your message until now I'm not in a state to forget and just move on. When I read every line of your message, it was like a dagger that pierced my heart, like a big hand that crushing my soul. It was instant regret and endless blaming to myself. I've become addicted to alcohol, I tried cigarettes too, I did wounds to my body so I can feel the pain that I inflicted on your family, I even thought of trying drugs but luckily my brother had sent me to the therapist before I did it. I blame my mom and that bastard but I blame myself more because I knew it was my fault. Everything was mine to commit." He fixed his position when he felt his eyes start burning

He laid to his back and stared at the blue sky.

"You wanna know why your message broke me? It's because those exact words, that three words that you've said. I've been dreaming to hear it for eight years. I've meet you and your twins before at the company's party when your dad brought you and that time you really catch my eyes.... Ahm...I can say that throughout that night I followed you secretly just because I like looking at your face. You're so beautiful that night, you outshine everyone even the diamond chandelier that hanging at the venue. It can't compare to your shine. I was stuck on you, that why......f*ck it's embarrassing to confess this" he chuckles before continuing his words
