Camden
"Have you lost your damn mind! You almost got yourself killed!" Caden fumed, giving me a harsh glare.
I rolled my eyes, plopping down on his bed. "What did you expect me to do, Caden, let him crash into me, ending both of us getting killed." I said annoyed.
"No, Cam, but what were you thinking." He huffed, throwing himself in his desk chair.
"I'm fine, I don't even have a scratch on me, calm down would you." I said to him, and he muttered something under his breath about something.
"Fine, but we're not going to race again in a while, tonight really scared me, Cam, you really could've died." He said in a much softer tone.
"Fine, if that's what you want, then we'll take a little break." He nodded, scratching his head.
"But seriously, I didn't think that he'll try to bump into me with his bike, while on the racing track." Caden hummed before releasing a breath.
"It's fine, Cam, just don't ever scare me like that again." I gave him a small smile.
"I won't."
"So how was the date with Sofia?" Asked Caden with a smirk.
Now that he's talking about Sofia, what did happen that night. That look she gave me, why did she gaze down at my lips?
If it wasn't for that girl that interrupted us, I think Sofia would've leaned in and kissed me, no doubt.
"It was fun." I gave him a short answer and he gave me a look.
"Tell me what really happened, I can see something is bothering you, Cam."
I groan, running my hand through my hair. "Sofia and I almost kissed." Caden's eyes widen in shock.
"No way, what happened?" He asked excitedly, I rolled my eyes.
"It was weird, but if it wasn't for that girl that interrupted us, I think Sofia would've kissed me." I said with a frown.
Caden chuckled. "You must hate that poor girl." Caden said with a cackle and I glare at him.
"No I don't, I'm actually thankful for that interruption, I can only imagine what problems that kissed could've caused." Caden rolled his eyes at my words.
"Pussy." I flipped him off with a smile.
"But if I'm being honest, I think Sofia might suspect something." I said, my anxiety going up.
"What do you mean?" Caden questioned.
"I mean, after that happened, it was a little bit awkward, but also not, I don't know how to explain it, but I could see it in her eyes, she was thinking that while night, she was quiet after that." I explained nervously.
What if Sofia is suspicious of me, what would she do if she does figure out that I have feelings for her? Would she be mad? End our friendship?
"Now you're overthinking." Caden said with a little smile.
"Just act normal from now on, don't take glances at her when she's not looking, I have my suspicions about Sabrina knowing something." He said, I swallowed the lump in my throat.
"What do you mean that you have suspicions about Sabrina?" I asked him, internally panicking.
He shrugged. "I don't think you have noticed, but Sabrina stares at you a lot, that girl is hella observant." He answered with a laugh.
"It's not funny, Caden, what if she sees that I like her best friend more than a friend, she's obviously going to tell Sofia about it, if she hasn't already." I said, my anxiety going through the roof.
"Calm down, Cam, even if she does, she doesn't have proof that you like Sofia more than a best friend." He said and I sigh.
"This fake dating thing is going to end up in a disaster." I mutter to myself.
"Tell me about it." Caden said with a little grin.
"It's not funny, I'm the one that's going to end up hurt by this." I said, biting the inside of my cheek.
"You never know what could happen in the future, so don't stress yourself out about this small incident, okay, at the end you'll just drive yourself crazy." Caden said with a small reassuring smile.
"Fine, but I have to get home now, my parents are probably wondering where I am." I said standing up from his bed, grabbing my helmet and bag.
"Alright, drive safe, and I'll see you tomorrow." I gave him a hug before making my way to my bike in the driveway.
Something tells me I have to be more careful about my feelings, or else my feelings would be revealed by someone else.
And that would be a huge problem.
