Camden

My head was pounding, I heard machines beeping, I groan and open my eyes, I squinted my eyes, the white light blinding me.

"Sweetheart." I felt a warm hand on my forehead and I open my eyes fully this time only to see my mom looking at me with concern.

"How do you feel, darling." I heard my Ma asks and I chuckled at their worried expressions.

"I'm fine guys, it was just a panic attack." My mom glared at me, and I wish I could take those words back.

"It's wasn't just a panic attack, Camden, it was a severe panic attack, much more worse." My mom deadpanned and I gave her a nervous chuckle.

"When can I go home?" I asked my Ma, she gave me a smile. "Later today, after the doctor checked up on you." She answered before she took a seat on one of the chairs.

"What were you and Caden doing in the closet room in the first place?" My head snapped to see Sofia sitting in the corner of the room, I was shocked to see her here.

"Sofi, what the hell are you doing here." She gave me a look as if I'm stupid.

"I'm here because I was worried, Cam, but you didn't answer my question." She raised a sharp brow, reminding me of her Mrs. Clark.

"Caden pulled me in there, asking me questions." I answered with a shrug. Sofia frowns at my answer.

"What questions?" She asked, making me nervous, I don't know if I can tell her in front of my parent, can they know about us fake dating?

"You know what." I gave her a stare to shut the hell up and she chuckled.

My mom crossed her arms over chest. "What questions, Camden?" She asked sternly and I let out a groan.

"Can I tell them?" I asked Sofia, motioning my hand to my parents. She nodded with a nervous smile.

"Me and Sofia are fake dating, she likes a boy in our grade and he doesn't have the balls to ask her out, so now we're fake dating to make him jealous." I explained and my Ma burst out laughing, hard, my mom smiled amusingly at this and joined my Ma by laughing.

"What so funny?" I asked them, I frowned at their behaviour, one would think they would scold you, for doing something so dumb but no, instead they're laughing.

"Sorry, it's just, that exactly how me and your mother fell in love at the end." Ma said with a wide smile, and my eyes widen at what she said.

"How didn't I know this?" I asked them in disbelief and my mom gave me a little smirk.

"You never asked, sweetheart." She said, taking a seat next to my Ma, who's still laughing.

"Well it doesn't mean me and Camden is going to fall in love." Sofia said with a chuckle of her own and I laughed nervously.

"Right." Everyone gave me a stare, making me feel awkward and uncomfortable.

"What!" I asked them, and they shook their head.

"All I'm saying is, be careful with the decisions you make, things could go south." My mom said, resting her head on my Ma's shoulder.

"We will, mom, we know what we're doing." I said with a smile, Sofia nodded in agreement.

I hope we do.

"No, Zack, why would you ask that." I look at my brother like his bat shit crazy.

"Come on, don't lie to me, I know you like Sofia more than a friend." He said with a smirk that I wish I could slap off his face.

"Don't you have basketball practice or something?" I asked him, he rolled his eyes, flipping me off over the screen.

My brother FaceTime me, after I got out from the hospital, of course he suspected me for a long time now about Sofia, but I didn't admit it.

"When do you come home again?" I asked him and he grins. "In about three weeks, then I have off." I smile, I miss my older brother, he's miles away from home.

"Well I have to go, like you said, I have practice in ten minutes, I'll talk to you later."

"Enjoy." He gave me a wave before he hung up and I sigh.

I wish I could stay home tomorrow and forget about school, but I know I can't.

Ugh.
