"Oy vey Raven?!"

After our practice, we headed to a nightclub early, before the Moonheads could join us.

I don't really know why we go to nightclubs, I guess we agreed that it was the norm for bands. I don't know if we'll have time for such if we get signed by a huge record company or something.

The dudes and I entered the club a little after the ladies. The place wasn't very crowded but I guess it was cool, I preferred less over more.

I guess I wanted to try to play pick-up but I guess it wasn't my speed like Raven said, so I thought otherwise.

Veronica was wearing a sophisticated, long, black dress and Sylvin caught an ear of it while getting getting ready so he slipped on a black turtleneck under a coat and trousers so he could look fancy and try his luck with her.

Ever since Sylvin joined, he made it his life mission to get Veronica's attention or maybe more. He's not in love with her, he doesn't form emotional attachments with girls, it's because of his fear of commitment. But he always had his eyes on Veronica, which kinda creeped her initially but knowing Slyvin and his ability to pick up girls, she would get really happy everytime he was successful.

He's not a bad person or a sex addict, he clearly states to the other party that he isn't looking for anything serious (surprisingly he still succeeds because of his charm), he simply thinks that his self-worth, his problems and his solutions are easily solved after he is successful in his game.

I drank in silence, trying to contemplate how our final performance will go, Rish joined me.

"Hey buddy, we're trying to find a dance partner, wanna come with?"

"Nah I'm good, you can go."

"Please? Right now, you look so tired that beside you, I look like a solid catch."

"Why not ask Raven? Since there is some alcohol involved here, she might not assume that you have a crush on her."

"Yeah, I'd rather impale myself with a cactus rather than do that."

"Why not get absolutely hammered before you do?"

"Sounds horrible, I'm in. Bartender, hit me!"

He drank a bit and then left. So did I.

As I was somewhat in the middle of the dance floor, I tried peering over the somewhat dispersed crowd to spot Raven, to no avail.

"Hey handsome."

"Hey there beautiful." I said, trying to go along with Ellis' game.

"Wanna dance?"

She HAS to be flirting, like no way she isn't.

"Maybe I will, but why me?"

"Plenty of reasons, firstly, there's no good quality man here as far as I could tell. I tried to dance with a few, one got knocked out, one was too wasted and one had no respect for personal boundaries, that left you."

"Thats it?"

"Nah, I would've danced with a girl but the first one also did not know any personal boundaries. And that was weirder than the other guy."

"Why?"

"I may be a girl, but I have some limitations of personal boundaries with other girls. Also you know I'm straight, right?"

"Of course you are. Hey have you seen Raven anywhere?"

"I have not."

"Hey, how about you just wait for a few moments by the table and just get some drinks, they're on me. I'll search Raven for just a little while."

"Alright, I'll wait."

I slipped some cash in her hand and ran to a corner (cuz that's where she usually makes out with someone). I searched a few spots until I found her, unfortunately.

She was pinning someone to a wall with her hand and gently running her other hand up and down their waist (her hand was inside their Tshirt by the way), they were breathing heavily and then kissing, really, really hard.

"Oy vey, Raven?!"

"Shawn what the hell are you doing here, this is the ladies bathroom!"

"Rave, you're outside the ladies bathroom right now."

She glanced at the door, then looked down in complete dismay,

After a series of 'Oh God's her date excused herself and went to the bathroom.

"Did you feel like the men were so bad here that you decided to go for a woman?" I asked, rather sarcastically.

She sighed, and said, "I was going to tell you this that when we had a cigarette together but I gues wanted it to remain a secret. Shawn, I'm a lesbian."

"Okay, now that I know it, why were you hiding it? I thought we were friends."

"I don't know, I just like having some of my secrets intact no matter how intimate they are."

"Hey, you do you, Rave. Anyways go back to hooking up with her. I'll stop bothering you."

"Thanks Shawn. Don't tell ANYONE."

"Your secret is safe with me."

"Also please stop me if I say it again, I'm absolutely wasted right now."

"You got it." I said as I turned my back and saw my worst nightmare.

Rish was coming towards us, completely bombed.

"Heyyyy Raven."

Oh no!

"Hey Rish, maybe you wanna calm down and talk to her later?"

"No! This has to be said right here, right now."

"But I think-"

"No Shawn! You gave me courage, now I won't back down."

"Whats going on?"

"Raven! You probably get this often but I wanna say something."

"Oh no." Raven and I said, in unison

"R-Raven, I like you. You're the one I really like the most. You keep hitting me, but I keep those bruises, you keep making up new swear words, I write them down and save them. I'm in love with you Raven."

Just then Raven's catch came out of the bathroom, grabbed her hand and said, "Hey, I have an empty apartment. Wanna go and finish the dirty deed there?"

"Yeah hold up, gimme two seconds."

Rish looked flabbergasted, puzzled, and somewhat shocked.

"I'm sorry Rish, I can't like you back. I like girls. I'm a lesbian."

"What? Why? Why are you?"

"Yeah maybe I'll just take him away, while you ma'am have a great night with our Raven here."

As I took him away, he said nothing. He was too shocked to say anything. I walked over to Ellis, who drank every bit of my penny and still wasn't hammered.

"Oof, what's with him?"

"Maybe I'll tell you later, he's going through some stuff right now. Should we take him home?"

"What about our dance?"

"How about this, next time, I'll dance with you only."

"Deal. What about Veronica, Raven and Sylvin."

"Veronica can handle herself, Sylvin will tail her and Raven will not return back."

"Why not?"

"Long story, I'll explain later."
