Rowan's POV:
(October 2015) Since I'm home schooled, I have free time, so my mom allows me to do whatever I want when she goes to see my dad. My mom is going to the hospital for a few hours so I'm going to the cafe down the street. I like it over there. Its nice and quiet..a great place to simply think. When I get there, I order a bagel with cream cheese and take a seat by the window. Its sunny outside, like it always is here in Florida.

"Rowan?" I hear someone say. I turn my head and am shocked to see Tanner Bunchannan. He played Charlie on Girl Meets World for semi-formal. I haven't seen him in forever. "Tanner? What are you doing here?" I asked as I gave him a hug. "I'm in town for my sisters wedding. I came here to get a drink and I saw you. Why are you in Florida?" I rub my arm as I say, "My uh-dad, has cancer."

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry." "Its alright, I guess bad things happen to good people." Trying to get out of that topic, I say, "Um, would you like to take a seat?" He nodded and took a seat across from me. "So, how long have you been in Florida?" he asked. "About a year. I'm going back in March to talk about starting up the show again." "Oh, well I'll be here for the month, but then I'm heading back." I simply nodded.

"I don't know if I should bring this up, but um..are you and Peyton still-" I cut him off by saying "No," very quickly while keeping my head down. "I'm sorry for interrupting, its just that..never mind." "You wanna talk about it?" I haven't talked about Peyton with anyone for a long time, but maybe its time I start. "Yea, why not?" Tanner smiled, "So, what exactly happened?"

For the next hour, I explained to Tanner everything that happened. "And thats why we broke up. It was easier.." I told him. "Well have you guys tried to reach each other?" "I lost my phone a little while after we moved here and I never really bothered to buy a new one. I guess this is my way of trying to focus on my family and myself. I'd rather use that money towards my dad too, ya now? Plus, I'm horrible at remembering phone numbers. I haven't been able to get ahold of anyone for the past year."

"I understand, but hey I have to go. Same time tomorrow?" he asked as he stood up from his seat. You know what? I could use a friend besides my family. "Yea, that would be nice," I gave him a smile and watched as he left the cafe.

It feels nice to have a friend. Someone to talk to. And talking about Peyton put some stress off my shoulders. I'm glad that Tanner's here.
