Chezney's pov

Two guards of House Stark tossed my horse saddle up on my horse. A different set of guards did the same for Lady Stark's and Brienne's horses since they were accompanying me on this journey to Renly Baratheon's camp. I was wearing a simple sea green and white dress with some dark boots. My hair was pinned up in a bun with a few delicate pins. Finally a thick winter cloak was draped over my shoulders showing I was ready for the journey ahead of me.

I'd never gone on a mission like this by myself but thankfully I wasn't going on it alone. Lady Stark knew much more about formal politics than Brienne or I do. I was doing this to represent my best friend when she can't come with us.

Footsteps could be heard coming up behind me before I felt someone touch my shoulder gently. "There you are. I was hoping I'd find you before you departed for your journey."

"Did you really think I would leave without saying goodbye to you? What kind of friend do you take me for?" I slightly turned on my feet until I was facing my friend Haelesa who sent me a snorted laugh.

"Of course not. I couldn't live by myself if I was a horrible friend to you. You're basically the sister that I never got to have in my life."

Throwing my arms around her tightly we embraced the other in a long hug. On the inside I was horrified to be doing this somewhat of a solo mission with our king's mother. But on the outside I was keeping a brave face as best as I possibly could manage. "You can always back out, lady Chezney. My mother can have Brienne accompany her and you would be able to remain here." Footsteps approached my best friend from behind causing us to break our hug and see the young wolf king himself coming at us.

"I appreciate the offer, your grace. But this is something I must do. I don't feel I've been much help to you and your fight against the Lannisters as my friend here has and that's something I'd like to Improve on."

Haelesa intertwined my hand with hers, sending me a half smile. "You've kept me sane throughout all of this. But I do understand what you mean."

"Your grace. My ladies. We should begin our journey if we wish to arrive before nightfall." Brienne came up beside us addressing Haelesa and Robb with a bow.

Haelesa squeezed in one last hug before I began mounting my horse. "May the Gods be good to you, bestie."

"And may they be good to you and your family." I nodded my head down to her seeing Robb drape an arm around her waist bringing her in closer to him. They watched us ride off with the lady knight on our quest to get the youngest Baratheon brothers' trust and support of his men so we could take the Lannisters' power.

Haelesa's pov

Gently running a brush through my long hair I felt rather uncomfortable with the silence in the tent I shared with my husband. I was never truly used to being on my own like this now. Chezney and I have been attached at the hip you could say.

The Frey girls that were in our camp had been rather adjusted to life outside of a castle. Some would have thought they wouldn't adjust to basically living in the wilderness. I know for me personally I have never felt more free out here. Living only in a castle surrounded by salt and sea I found myself thinking I was a woman trapped in a tower. Robb Stark was the man who rescued me from my castle prison.

Quickly turning around in the wooden chair that I was sitting in front of the vanity table before I noticed the tent flap get pushed open with the familiar direwolf running to my feet. Footsteps entered the room shortly afterwards revealing my husband. "How are you doing today, Hael?"
