Kings Landing -  A few months later
Tyrion's pov

Rubbing the sleep from my eyes I climbed out of the bed seeing that one of the servants had slipped underneath my chamber door.  Picking up the envelope I tore it open seeing a Lannister seal attached to it.  "This isn't Haelesa's handwriting meaning it's Chez." I muttered sitting down on the edge of the bed before I read quietly to myself.

"Dear Tyrion,
I must seal this letter to appear that it is Haelesa writing to you but as you've probably already figured out it is not.  Your brother has been placed inside a cell and we remain in one of the camps tents per the young wolf's request. My best friend won't admit it but she clearly has feelings for him.  I haven't spoken to her about us yet.  I wish I could talk about our relationship truly considering we only were together until Jaime led the Lannister army into battle.  Anyway you should know I miss you, my lion."
    •    yours, Chezney"

Closing the paper in my hands I stared silently at it wishing she was here.  My father and sister could never know about these letters for they would go after her.  Father already didn't like me and he would say I was discraing the family name if I married someone below my station a second time.  If we were lucky Chezney and I could marry once the war was won for good.

Sitting in the small council room we had finally received a letter from Robb Stark's camp and my sister took the paper from our cousin reading it aloud for all. "From this time until the end of time we are not part of your realm but a free and independent kingdom of the North" - he has more spirit then his father I'll give him that." She tore the paper into four separate pieces.

"You've perfected the art of tearing up papers. We can give him his father's bones back as a show of good faith."

My sister eyed our cousin. "You'll give the Stark's our reply, cousin.

He nodded, being escorted out of the room. "I will, your Grace."

"At the very least we should be grateful that our brother and his wife are still alive and that the Stark boy hasn't taken their heads."

She rolled her eyes in my direction. "Oh shut up.  The only thing I want from your mouth is a plan on how we can get our brother back and that ridiculous Velaryon girl father forced him to wed."

"You can't blame our father for your misery when he is unaware of how close you and Jaime really are." Leaning back in my chair I could speak the truth that only a small handful of people knew about in the Seven Kingdoms.

My sister looked at me like she wanted to bitch slap me across the face at my remark. "What did I just say could come from your mouth!"

"You're forgetting that this Velaryon girl may have more under her name than you realize."

"What do you mean?" Cersei asked me.

"If you would let me finish you might hear my answer.  The Velaryon house may almost all be gone but they are loyal to Robert's house which you control.  Her father owns a very large fleet.  If you return his daughter back safely he will be very loyal to our part in the war."

I had to bite the inside of my lip fighting my instinct to not tell her that I hoped Chezney would get my letter to tell Haelesa to write to her father and see where her father's loyalty truly lied.  "That is probably one of the smartest things you've ever said.  Deliver what words need to be sent to a messenger who shall deliver it through a Raven."

"I'll leave right now to do so.  I think this is the first we've actually plotted together."

My sister rose from her chair leaving the room before I grumbled under her breath. "Don't get used to it, you little monster."
