The Obedient Son-A Draco Malfoy Fanfic

Chapter 2

Narcissa came to the wedding along with my parents and a few friends. As far as Lucius knew,Draco had "come to his senses." And had broken up with me to further his knowledge of the Dark Arts.

In reality,we were spending everyday together in our peaceful little cottage hidding away in the Irish countryside.

Life was blissful. Draco was training to be a Healer and I spent my free time reading every book in the local library(my inner Ravenclaw was showing.) We chose to live life as muggles. Draco had completely abandoned his roots and no longer wore black. He became that much more good looking because of it. Cissy came to visit us as often as she could and kept us informed of what was going on in the Wizarding World. For six glorious months,all was peaceful. Then,it wasn't.

Lucius found us out and all hell broke loose.

It began as yet another perfect day. It was nearing 10:30 but we were still lying in bed. Everytime one of us tried to get up the other one pushed them back down. This went on for some time. Eventually we had to get up cause we were beginning to get a headache from lying there so long. I was busy in the kitchen attempting to make some pancakes and put the kettle on while Draco held me from behind and kissed my neck.
"Draco stop it!!" I laughed. "You're going to make me burn the pancakes."
"Let them burn what do I care!" He replied.
"Draco,please. I'm hungry."
"You're always hungry."
"Not always. Just when I'm not eating."

He rolled his eyes and laughed. He kissed me and went about setting the table. He was a perfectionist and it took him nearly twenty minutes to get it all exactly right.
"Draco." I whined.
"Sorry,Em. Almost done dear."

He finally finished and we sat down to our meal. It was a clear morning and the open fields were even greener than was normal for the season. We watched as our Irish Setter,Maggie,chased after some squirrels. All was quiet,calm,serene. Perfect.
"I love you so much." I said.

Draco smiled that smirk that made me melt. "Not near as much as I love you Emmeline Malfoy."
"I love you more."
"No I love you more."
"I love you forever and always."
"I love you to infinitey and beyond."
"You win."

I hoped onto his lap and kissed him. He pulled my body close to his and I ran my fingers through his white hair. He kissed my neck and I sighed. He laughed and nibbled my ear which made me sigh more. He was kissing every bare speck of skin he could find. We were so lost in the moment that we didn't see him come in.

We were in full on makeout session. I pulled off Draco's t-shirt and he brought me closer to his exposed chest. He ran his fingers up my shirt and chills ran down my spine. He reached to pull my shirt off when we heard a creak.

We froze. I felt Draco's muscles tense up as he slowly reached for his wand.
"On three." He whispered. "One,two....."

On "three" I ducked down and he yelled "Expelliarmus!"
"My, my Draco. I knew you were studying but this was not a subject I expected you to take." Lucius sneered.
"Get out of my house! "
"I knew something was going on. I thought you would be studying along with Crabbe and Goyle but they are still back home. When I discovered your mother was coming to visit I decided to follow along."
"What have you done to mum?!"
"Calm down Draco. Your mother is perfectly fine. Something came up at the last minute and she was unable to make the trip so I came instead."
"You have no business here. I will ask you one more time to leave."
"Or what? You'll kill me? Now Draco let's not do anything rash. I'd hate for your girlfriend to get hurt."

Draco was standing in front of me with his wand raised. "Don't you touch her!"
"But what is this? She is no longer your girlfriend. Those are wedding rings on your fingers. My,Draco,you're a married man. How wonderful!"
"You are not welcome here. We have a life here that we love and I will not allow you to damage it. Now turn around,leave and never come back."
" Oh I will leave in due time but not until I have made myself perfectly clear. You have a very important decision to make."
"And what would that be?"
"Either you leave this mudblood wife of yours and come home or you condemn her and her whole family to death."

I gasped and tears quickly filled my eyes. Draco squeezed my hand.
"I will never leave Emmeline."
"So you choose to bring war upon her family and you will betray your own blood for her."
"I will do anything for her. I love her more than life itself!"
"This mudblood?"
"DO NOT CALL HER THAT!!!! When you pushed me away and forced me to be just like you she was there. When Voldemort scarred me with this Mark I bare on my arm and I cried on a daily basis she was there when everyone abandoned me! She loved me when every single person hated me! She's the reason I am alive. So yeah I'm willing to fight for her no matter what. "
"That was quite the speech. Very well then. War it is. Prepare yourself,I will return."

He turned on the spot and Disapparated. I collapsed to the floor and Draco wrapped his bare arms around me and stroked my head.
"My family." Is all I could say.

"I won't let anything happen to them I promise." He kissed my forehead.

An owl flew through the open doors and Maggie immediately followed.
"That's mothers owl!" Draco cried. He quickly untied the note around the birds legs and read it aloud:
"'My dearest Draco, get Emmy and her family to safety. I will do everything I can to help you but your father is watching my every move. Find a safe place and guard it. Establish a Secret Keeper. Do not confront your father and do not try to contact anyone. Get somewhere safe and stay there. Good luck to you both. Lots of love,Mother. '"

There was only one person Draco loved more than me and that was his mother. Narcissa Malfoy had more love to give then anyone on the planet and she had somehow managed to marry the worlds most cold hearted man. But she loved him too dearly to ever leave him no matter what horrible thing he did.

She discovered our relationship in 2nd year when she caught us holding hands in Flourish and Blotts just before Lucius gave Ginny Weasley Tom Riddles diary. She cared nothing for blood status or Hogwarts houses and was extremely supportive of us. She was like a second mother to me. There was no in-law awkwardness between us,only pure love. This was Draco's last straw. Lucius could threaten him or me all he wanted but he could not touch Cissy or Draco would kill him on the spot.
"Pack your things;we're leaving."
"Where are we going?" I asked.

"We collect your family and take them to the only safe place left."
"Where is that?"
"Harry Potters house."
