When Cissy's time to go to Hogwarts rolled around,Draco was a nervous wreck.  He ran around the house aimlessly making sure she had everything she needed even though she had been completely packed for over a month.

"Draco,calm down!" I exclaimed.

"Our daughter is going off to Hogwarts,Em. Aren't you worried? What if she gets put in Slytherin and the other kids tease her and are mean to her?! What if she is unhappy there? What if Voldemort or one of his cronies comes back and tries to take her from us?!" He replied,

"Draco, nothing is going to happen. The likelihood of Cissy being placed in Slytherin is high since all of her family has been in it. But she is okay with that. And besides, with Teddy and Victoire there what could possibly go wrong? She will be okay."

"I'm just so worried about her. I want her to be happy. I want her to have everything I didn't. I wonder if I could bribe the hat into putting her into Gryfindor."

"Draco Lucius Malfoy you will do nothing of the kind! Our daughter will be sorted wherever the Sorting Hat believes is best. Now get to sleep,we have to leave early in the morning."

But he continued to get up and roam around the house all night coming up with endless possibilities of what could go wrong. I smiled to myself. Cissy was at the age where she found everything her father did embarrassing and wanted nothing to do with him but Draco still adored her just as much as the day she was born and I was pretty sure he still believed her to be the little baby he had fallen in love with. I thought it was endearing how nervous and worried he was. Eventually, he paced so much that he fell asleep and had peaceful rest until morning.

                                                                          . . .

When we awoke the next morning, we were in a frenzy. As hard as we had worked to make sure everything went smoothly it still seemed like everything that could possibly go wrong did.

"Mum, where's my purple jumper? I can't find it anywhere!" Cissy cried as I attempted to make a quick breakfast and also go through my checklist.

"I put it in your trunk under your spell books." I replied. "Did you pack the food for Ginger?"

"Oh I forgot!"

Ginger was the name Cissy had bestowed on the orange fluffball of a cat Draco had bought as a going away present. I hated the thing but Cissy absolutely adored her. "And don't forget your training bras!" I said.

"Mum!!!!" Cissy exclaimed burning with embarrassment. "Don't say that out loud or Daddy will hear you."

"Sorry, Love. Where is your father anyway?"

"I'm pretty sure he is in my bedroom crying."

"Again?"

I made my way upstairs and sure enough, Draco was curled up on Cissy's bed cluthching her favorite stuffed animal and crying. "Draco, dear, this really needs to stop. You have got to get a grip."

"She's leaving me, Em." He said through tears.

"For the sake of Merlin! She isn't leaving you, she is attending school just like every other child in the world. It's not like she is moving out forever or getting married or something."

"But she will be before you know it! What happened to our little girl? It seems like just yesterday she was a little baby that could barely hold her head up on her own and now she is getting ready to go to Hogwarts and become a true witch."

I hugged him. "I know it's hard, I feel the same way. But this is just a part of life and we have to deal with it. "

"I'm going to miss her."
