Travis swallows thickly, eyes landing on his door- Or what remains of it. The desk chair he'd propped against it is now across the room, laying haphazardly on the floor. The door is reduced to nothing more than splinters of wood, a bit of blood painting the floor and bits of door. He turns his head and his gaze lands on his bed, where Kenneth sits, hands folded properly on his lap. Scabbed blood paints his knuckles, and Travis wonders if all it took was his hands to break down the door..

"We were doing so good, Travis. Making so much progress." Kenneth doesn't sound angry, just disappointed. Travis knows he's pissed, though. Kenneth doesn't get upset without anger. He's just good at disguising it. Travis bites his lip anxiously, watching as Kenneth raises a hand and gestures for him to come over. He knows better than to disobey, so he does as told- Walking closer until he's standing right in front of Kenneth.

"Now, clearly, I trusted you too much. Don't tell me you were at that faggot's apartment." Kenneth rises to stand in front of Travis, and they're so close their chest's touch. Travis' hands shake and he shoves them into his pockets, not wanting to show fear in the face of the beast. He swallows, looking up at his father's face. Kenneth isn't much taller than him, but he is a bit taller.

"No, sir. I was just taking a walk." He struggles to get the words out, almost choking on them. Kenneth pushes him harshly to the ground, and Travis flinches, gasping as he lands on his back. All the air rushes out of his lungs, and his back aches almost immediately. For a moment, it almost feels like he's broken his back. He knows better, though. He just lost his breath, he'll be fine in a minute.

"An hour long walk? That you felt the need to sneak out your window for?" Travis can't find the air to speak, so he just nods, and tries desperately to catch his breath. Kenneth steps towards him, raising a foot before shoving it down on Travis' chest. Travis coughs, having no air to lose when Kenneth basically squishes him like a bug. All he can do is squirm and try to breathe.

"Liar!" Kenneth's foot moves to kick Travis' face, and Travis gasps as he finally regains his breath at the same time as he feels his nose crack under the toe of Kenneth's shoe. Blood seeps down his face, into his mouth and onto the floorboards. It's a taste he's familiar with, the metallic warmth of it. He breathes through his mouth, almost choking on the mixture of his saliva and blood as it seeps down his throat. He can do nothing except swallow it, due to the fact his back hurts so bad that he can't move to sit up.
