Travis swayed a bit, watching the school bus pull up to his house. The doors opened, and he sighed as he stepped forward to enter. The first day back to school always sucked, but he was sure it sucked even more for Sal Fisher. It had to, after a summer of being able to escape any attempts Travis may make of tormenting him, now Sal had no escape. Within the walls of Nockfell High, there was nowhere to run from Travis.

Luckily for Travis, he was the first stop the bus made. This also meant that in the evenings he was the last person to be let off, so maybe he wasn't so lucky. He was only lucky now to be able to pick whichever seat he wanted without having to threaten someone. It was also severely unlucky because he had to wake up extremely early.. But he would've had to regardless of the bus. Kenneth made sure his son woke up in a timely manner, and apparently "timely" meant 5 AM to Kenneth Phelps. It was the only time that would ensure Travis could slave away making breakfast and coffee and still have time to get ready for school without missing the bus.

Travis passed all the empty seats through the bus, shivering at the cool fall air that filled the uninsulated bus. He was wearing shorts and a T-shirt, so needless to say he was extremely cold.. But it was going to get hot in a few hours, and soon enough he wouldn't regret the clothing choice so much.

He sat himself in the very last seat on the right, scooting so he was against the bus wall. His backpack was sat beside him, signaling to all that may board that the seat was his only. Not that anyone would want to sit by him anyway, most people were scared of him. If they weren't scared, then they hated him. Travis was alone, he always has been. The last time he had anything close to a friend was years and years ago, before his father suspected his true nature and fed him homophobic propaganda.

The bus set into motion as soon as Travis sat. He stared out the window as it drove, taking in the familiar surroundings of Nockfell. He'd seen everything they were passing a million times over. He had nothing better to do on the bus than sit and stare out the window. Travis wasn't allowed any books, save for the Bible and things he had to read for school. He wasn't allowed music, TV, or anything of the like. The only things he had to pass the time were the Bible- Which he knew like the back of his hand, and his journal.

Travis did not have his bible with him, though. He never kept his bible in any sort of bag, or anywhere where it could get squished. As he'd been taught, nothing was to be put on top of his bible. He did have his journal, but he wasn't going to use it in such a public place. That was a recipe for disaster- He didn't want his deepest darkest secrets to get spread around the school like wildfire. Travis was supposed to be the rumor starter, not the other way around.
