Pearl-Reef was beautiful and Sunny. The summer was beginning and Sonic and friends have been arriving in Pearl-Reef.
Joining them is Sonics childhood friends 'Rika Flora (Flare-light The Hedgehog) and Grey-Sky The Wolf'.
Once they arrived, Tails went ahead to book them a hotel room.
Knuckles 'begrudgingly' rolls his eyes and walks to Sonic and asked, "Hey Sonic can I ask you something?"
The blue hedgehog looked at him and said with a teasing and flirtatious manner, "Hey Knucklehead, is the sun making you more hot? Cause you do look hot for a hot head."
He chuckled as Rika and Grey-Sky chuckled as well.
Knuckles sighed deeply and stressfully and asked with a hesitantly grouchy tone, "Do you... want to... Go out with me..?"
Sonic gasped in shock before he said nervously, "Y-you're joking..."
Knuckles gritted his teeth and said coldly, "No... I'm serious..."
Sonic blushed, his heart raced, and his reaction was speechless.
Sonic smiled at it cause he was happy about it. Knuckles? Not so much.
Cause it wasn't what he thought.
(Just Before The Vacation)
Knuckles was on the stairs of the master emerald shrine.
He growled cause Julie-Su broke up with him when they had an argument. Julie-Su recently turned into a real snobby and 'mean girl' style chick.
That was when he saw Julie-Su and Rouge approach him.
Knuckles asked, "What do you two want?"
Rouge answered with her usual smirk, "Oh nothing much. We just came he..."
He then interrupted her, "...If you are gonna steal the master emerald don't even think about it."
Knuckles looks at Julie-Su and said, "Look Julie-Su. I dunno what happened to you but you gotta take me back. I'll do anything to have you back."
Julie-Su looked at Rouge with a mean smile as she snickered and muttered, "Jackpot."
Julie-Su asked, "Anything?"
Knuckles shouted desperately, "Yes! Anything! Just name it!"
Rouge and Julie-Su snickered before Julie-Su smirked at him before she said to him straight to his face, "I would like to make you a bet."
Knuckles desperately said to her, "Just tell me what I haft to do!"
Julie-Su replied with a smirk, "I bet you to date Sonic."
Knuckles face went pale as he asked, "Wh-what...?"
Rouge replied, "You heard her."
Knuckles shouted, "Why the heck of all people him?!"
Rouge chuckled and replied, "Well? I overheard from Amy that Sonic rejected her and saying he has a serious crush on you."
Knuckles face turn green in disgust as he groaned and said, "Ugh. Seriously? He's into me? Gross!!"
Julie-Su 'with her manipulating charm' said while in her seductive way, "Come on Knuckles. Do it for little-o-me."
Knuckles swallows his pride and said, "Ugh fine. But I'm gonna complain about Sonic with you ya got it?!"
Julie-Su clapped her hands and said, "Oh goodie. Thank you Knuckles. You won't regret this one bit."
(Flashback Ends)
Knuckles thought, "I'll be regretting dating a gay fag like him."
Tails returns and said, "Good news guys. I assigned rooms for everyone."
He turns to Grey-Sky and Rika and said, "Sorry guys. But if you want, you can share a room with me."
Rika replied, "Nah it's fine. I figured there won't be any room for us in this. So I had my big sisters book us in one of her hotels."
Tails asked, "Which one? Far as I know you besides that you are supposed to be Sonics bride to be and Sonics childhood friend. You have like 15 big sisters and 2 big brothers."
Sonic answered for her, "I believe it's Midori. The bluish-green hedgehog with the bright yellow eyes. That wears that butterfly encrusted kimono all the time. She owns those Japanese hot spring style hotels around here. Isn't that right Ri?"
Rika nodded and answered, "Yeah. She does own the Japanese hotsprings style hotels."
Tails 'in surprised and amazed' said, "Oh yeah her."
He then turns to his best friend and joked with a chuckle, "I swear Sonic I think Rika's parents won't mind having you for a Son-In-Law while welcoming you to the Flora family when you marry Rika."
Sonic holds Knuckles hand 'which made him cringe' said, "Yeah when that happens. If I'm gonna be with someone, it will be with Knuckles."
Knuckles thought as he rolled his eyes, "Ugh. Well it can't be any worst."
Tails replied with a sly smile, "Which is why I paired you both in the same room."
Knuckles thought in shock, "WHAT?!"
Sonic smiled and replied, "Aww thanks Tails."
Knuckles thought angrily, "Tails I'm gonna kill you!"
