Pitiful HeartAche pt. 1

The two boys still haven't clicked. Knuckles attempt to win Sonic over was like trying to close a huge gap between them.

No matter where Knuckles takes Sonic, it always ends up in disaster.

Sonics kept wearing casual everyday outfits due to the fact he didn't want to be made a fool of.

Knuckles finds it nice or something positive but unfortunately for him, Sonic doesn't actually buy what Knuckles says is true.

The blue hedgehog was being careful but he kept telling himself Knuckles really was in love with him but his conscious tells him he's just doing it for a bet.

He was playing along but Sonic shows he wasn't enjoying himself with him. Due to Knuckles slipping up on their dates and ended badly.

Every date didn't turn out well. Sonic would get splashed by sudden throws (like dirt or dirty water, or something like that.)

Knuckles tried to buy Sonic a gift or two but Sonic reminded him the last time that happened.

Why? Because when Knuckles was dating Sonic for a bet he hoped Knuckles would be a little upset cause he convinced Sonic that he has to ask but every time he did Knuckles would say no.

It hurts him badly. Every time Knuckles bought him a gift Sonic always tells him coldly, "I don't remember asking you to buy me anything. Now return that unless it's for Julie-Su!"

Knuckles was stunned by this. He knew Sonic was convincing himself that it wasn't real but it was just a bet.

Most of the dates when Julie-Su was there, Sonic would always leave and push her to Knuckles 'assuming Knuckles was planing to humiliate him and everything'.

Sonic could not handle being on a date with him but to him they were not dates but a fake event to make him look bad. It was all just an act to get Sonic humiliated however it wasn't even an act cause Knuckles indeed fall in love with Sonic.

Sonics heart already shattered by that awful summer and he didn't want to be near him but due to what happened he had to go out with him for Sonia.

Half of the summer Sonic and Knuckles were not connected.

No amount of bouquet of flowers will heal Sonics heart.

That was when the day came. The day Sonic finally had enough.

It was at an evening time and everyone was getting ready for the fireworks.

Knuckles asked Sonic earlier and Sonic flatly said yes. But that was the straw that broke the camels back.

Knuckles hoped that Sonic would forgive him and make him see it wasn't a bet or an act.

Knuckles found a peaceful spot for the two of them to watch the fireworks.

He hoped Sonic got dressed to impress him but he was wrong.

Sonic was wearing a maroon and black hoodie, black shorts, black and maroon socks and matching tennis shoes.

He looked like an emo soccer player.

Knuckles had to swallow his pride and asked in a flirtatious and nervous manner, "Isn't that a little hot wearing a hoodie?"

Sonic sat away from him and answered flatly, "I rather wear a hoodie."

He wasn't even looking at him as Knuckles took a deep breath and asked, "Don't you want to sit close to me?"

Sonic answered flatly, "No."

He sighed and asked, "How about next time you wear something pretty?"

Sonic flatly replied, "And why would I wanna do that? Besides you hate how 'Gay fags' like me dress like a girl. So no thanks! I rather dress like an emo than dressing as some bitch."

He looks away as Knuckles was stunned by how Sonic is saying.

It's like the words he gave to him were a reminder of what he did.

Sonic thought as he sighed stressfully, "There won't be a next time cause I have had it."

Sonic sighed deeply as Knuckles tried to be close with him but Sonic scoots away from him.

Knuckles asked, "Can't I be close with you? Just this once?"

Sonic answered him in a dull tone, "No."

Knuckles asked, "Oh come on Sonic. Please? Can I at least hold your hand?"

Sonic 'getting angry' replied, "I said no."

Knuckles asked in a begging tone, "Oh come on Sonic. Stop playing hard to get. Can I at least be close to you? I love you. Don't you want this?"

Sonic 'starting to get more angry' shouted, "I SAID NO YOU DUMBASS!"

He then stood up as Julie-Su walked passed him but then grabbed her and threw her to Knuckles.

Sonic then said angrily, "There is your real date now leave me alone!"

That was when Sonic walked off as Julie-Su groaned and asked Knuckles, "Geez, what is his problem?"
