When summer vacation ended, Knuckles felt really bad for treating Sonic like a pile of shit.
But Sonic, Rika, and Grey-Sky had to go ahead so Sonic wouldn't face the person he thought he loved.
An entire month, Knuckles wanted to speak to Sonic but the blue hedgehog avoids him in any way possible.
He remained with his friends to distract himself from the heart ache he had to go through.
Over time Knuckles found himself falling in love with the blue hedgehog.
Julie-Su tried to apologize but Knuckles turns him away, lashes out at her for not seeing she was as heartless as a harpy.
He had to endure what he had done. Using Sonic was not a nice thing to do.
That was when Summer came around once again and the gang took a trip to Pearl-Reef once again.
(Second Summer)
Like last time, the gang arrived at the same hotel, but unlike last time, Sonic brought not only Rika and Grey-Sky but he also brought Sonia.
Knuckles smiled a little at Sonic 'who frowned and looked away'
Everyone forgave Knuckles for what he did, Sonic? Not so much.
He couldn't date anyone again after that. Right now all he wants is a romance-free summer.
He was a little moody when he was told Knuckles will join them.
Sonic sighed deeply and thought, "Well least things will be romance-free."
Knuckles walks to him and greeted him nervously.
Sonic shot him an angry glare.
Knuckles asked, "Hey Sonic?"
The blue hedgehog stared daggers at him and asked, "What do you want?"
Knuckles 'with a blush' asked as he rubbed the back of his head, "Listen, I...I was wondering if you are interested in going out with me?"
Sonic flatly answered, "Oh-Ho no! I'm not falling for that again!"
That was when Sonic said, "If this is another stupid bet that Julie-Su made you do. I refuse to be used."
Tails walked to the gang after checking everyone in.
Knuckles asked Tails, "Any chance you booked me and Sonic in the same room?"
Tails answered flatly, "No Sonic staying in another hotel with his big sis, Rika, and Grey-Sky."
Sonic angrily chimed in, "Yeah away from you!"
Knuckles asked in a saddened expression, "Well why not give it another shot?"
Sonic answered angrily, "Oh I don't know, probably because you don't wanna room with a gay fag!"
That was when Sonic kicked Knuckles on the crotch real hard.
Sonic scoffed as Knuckles felt his junk and collapsed.
Sonic really kicked his balls real harshly.
Shadow and Silver winced at it as Silver whispered, "Right in the nuts."
Sonic then spits on him and said, "I be caught dead to share a room with someone like you. Besides you already have Julie-Su. So I ain't sharing someone who never loves me."
He walked off as Sonia and the other two followed.
Tails then said, "Yeah Knuckles is sharing a room with Julie-Su."
Julie-Su facepalmed as Knuckles thought, "Ugh...shit..."
