Lucy knew she couldn't avoid the inevitable. After the night she had spent with Erin, something in her shifted-a profound, unavoidable sense of guilt that settled deep in her chest. The connection she felt with Erin was real, but Ona was still very much a part of her heart. It wasn't fair to Erin to keep her in the dark, but it also wasn't fair to herself to continue living in a state of confusion.

As Lucy sat on her couch, staring blankly at the wall, she picked up her phone. She hadn't spoken to Ona in weeks, not since they had agreed to give each other space. The distance had been hard, but Lucy hadn't anticipated that she'd be in this position-torn between two women who both meant so much to her. She scrolled through her messages, her finger hovering over Ona's name before finally pressing it.

Lucy: We need to talk. Can you come to London?

Her heart raced as she sent the message. She knew Ona might not respond right away, or at all, but Lucy needed to clear the air. Her phone buzzed just a few moments later, and her stomach twisted.

Ona: Talk? About what?

Lucy: I can't explain over text. I think we need to have this conversation in person.

There was a long pause before Ona's next reply came through.

Ona: I'll be there tomorrow.

Lucy stared at the message, her emotions in a tangled mess. She knew what this conversation would mean-it could be the final chapter of her and Ona's relationship. But before she could move forward with Erin, she needed closure with Ona.

The next 24 hours passed in a blur of anxiety. Lucy kept herself busy with training, but her mind kept drifting to the impending confrontation with Ona. Would Ona be angry? Hurt? Or worse, indifferent? The uncertainty gnawed at her.

When Lucy arrived back at her apartment after training, she found herself pacing nervously, unable to relax. Her phone buzzed again-it was a message from Ona, letting her know she had landed and was on her way over.

Lucy's heart pounded as she opened the door, her breath catching when she saw Ona standing there. Despite everything, Ona still took her breath away-her dark eyes were filled with a mixture of sadness and confusion.

They stood in silence for a moment before Ona spoke.

"Lucy," she began, her voice tight. "What's going on? Why did you ask me to come all the way here?"

Lucy stepped aside, motioning for her to come in. She took a deep breath, trying to steady her nerves. "Ona, there's something I need to tell you. Something that happened..."
