As soon as Lucy closed the door, the air between them felt thick with tension. Ona stood by the window, her arms crossed defensively, waiting for Lucy to speak.

Lucy rubbed the back of her neck, trying to find the right words. "I don't even know where to start," she admitted, her voice wavering. "I've been thinking about us... a lot. About how things ended."

Ona's brow furrowed, her expression a mix of confusion and hurt. "Ended? Lucy, we said we'd give each other space, not that it was over. Are you saying it is?"

Lucy felt the weight of the conversation pressing down on her. "I didn't mean for things to get so complicated, Ona. But something happened. I-" She paused, her heart pounding as she forced the words out. "I slept with someone else."

Ona's eyes widened, her face draining of color. For a moment, she seemed unable to process what Lucy had just said. "You... slept with someone else?"

Lucy nodded, guilt gnawing at her. "It wasn't planned, it just... happened. I didn't want to hurt you, Ona. I never wanted to hurt you."

Ona's hands clenched into fists, and she turned away, walking toward the window. "Who? Who was it?"

Lucy hesitated. "It was Erin... my teammate."

Ona's sharp intake of breath was audible. She whipped around, her eyes blazing with anger and betrayal. "Your teammate? You moved to a new team, and you just replaced me like that?"

"It's not like that!" Lucy protested, stepping toward her. "I didn't replace you. I've been struggling with everything, with us, with the distance. Erin was there for me, and things just... got out of control."

Ona shook her head, her voice trembling with emotion. "You chose your career over us, and now this? You could have tried harder, Lucy. We could have made it work."

Lucy's throat tightened, guilt twisting in her gut. "I know. I know I could have, but... it felt like we were drifting apart, and I didn't know how to fix it."

Ona's eyes shimmered with unshed tears as she stepped closer to Lucy, her voice barely above a whisper. "Do you even love me anymore?"

The question hit Lucy like a punch to the gut. "Of course I love you, Ona. I've always loved you."

"Then why did you do this?" Ona demanded, her voice breaking.

Lucy didn't have an answer, not one that would satisfy Ona's pain. All she could do was stand there, helpless, as Ona wrestled with the betrayal. The silence between them stretched on, heavy and oppressive.

"I should go," Ona finally said, her voice hollow. She turned toward the door, but before she could leave, Lucy grabbed her arm.

"Wait," Lucy pleaded. "Don't go yet. Please, let's talk."

Ona hesitated, her body tense. But something in Lucy's eyes made her pause and she didn't pull away. Instead, she turned to face her, her expression a mixture of anger and longing.

"What's there to talk about, Lucy?" Ona asked, her voice thick with emotion. "You slept with someone else. What else is there?"

"I don't know," Lucy admitted, her voice breaking. "I don't know how to fix this. But I can't lose you without trying......"

For a long moment, they just stood there, the space between them filled with unresolved tension. And then, almost without thinking, Lucy leaned in and kissed Ona. It was a desperate kiss, filled with all the emotions they had been keeping bottled up for months with limited talking -anger, sadness, longing.

At first, Ona didn't respond, but then, slowly, she began to kiss Lucy back. The kiss deepened, their bodies pressing together as if they were trying to cling to something that had already slipped through their fingers. The intensity of their emotions translated into physical need, and soon, they were tearing at each other's clothes, the anger and hurt fueling their passion.
