⋆✷ 𝕊𝕒𝕓𝕣𝕖'𝕤 ℂ𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕣𝕚𝕔 ✷⋆The library was a lot bigger than he had expected it to be, 4 stories up of comfort and filled with any book he could think of, as well as a lot of empty ones. Those ones confused him, left him wondering why that had been empty even if he willed them to become filled. They did not listen to his wishes. Strange.
Sabre tried to think about what he was doing at his work before he noticed the movement in the computer. Falling back into one of the couches listening to the ticking of the clock, something was missing. The sweet melody of music should be echoing off these walls. Just as the thought crossed his mind a record player started playing on the second floor, the sound melted off the walls. He sighed with a smile as he relaxed in the chair. He wanted to share this calmness with someone.
That was what he was thinking, he wanted there to be someone like him. The methodic violin rang in his ears. He wished for music and it started playing. He had thought about others that might be like him and they appeared in the darkness of the software earlier that day. More life, something he could direct, a story could unfold but he would need a scene on the stage.
Pushing himself to his feet, Sabre walked over to the window only to be greeted by a sheet of glowing white, a void of nothingness. That won't do. Pulling himself away from the window he went back to the lowest level in the library. A large and intricately decorated dark oak door was stationary there. It was way to large to actually use, mostly just for decoration with its swirls and shaped designs. Glancing down to the semi circle he stood on he could see that the tile did fan out from a circle point.
"That could work. Get me from one place to another." Be he did not know where the 'Other' place was. "Just plains maybe? Some trees?" The portal under his feet started to glow a green color as it pulled him in like quicksand before it covered him in the green light and he had disappeared from the library in one swoosh.
He was greeted with green grass that tickled his legs as it danced back and forth in the breeze of mid day. The first thing he noticed he did not even have to open his eyes. Fresh air. It entered his lungs with a cool rich fragrance of the distant flowers and trees that rustled above in the sky. Clouds passed above in the bright blue sky passing over the sun to cast shadows at his feet. He could see his shadow, it had been so long since he had seen it. At one point he never thought about looking, now, he was determined to see all that he could never see in his home.
The shadow attached to his feet swayed back and forth with the grass as it looked like flowing water. Sabre reached out to touch it, his hand connecting to the shadow in the grass. What he did not expect was the grip of a hand on his own. Sabre pulled away and the shadow did not move with him but stayed intertwined in his fingers. Ruby red eyes appeared in the darkness as it rose out of the grass. Wavy like water formed into something solid, standing, right in front of him.
He staired into the rubies, a mirror of himself that looked like was covered in soot. The eyes blinked at him, and he simply blinked back. Glancing down at his hand he realized it was still intwined with the shadow and he forced it out of it's grip, checking to make sure that there were no injuries.
Sabre waited to see if the creature would say anything, but no words were said by either one of them. Keeping his hands close to himself he took a step backwards, green eyes not leaving the red ones in front of him. Just like him, the shadow took a step backwards. Though the action was slightly delayed, it listened to him.
"Hello?" Sabre spoke first, maybe it would speak to him if he talked first? That was his thought, but he came to find out that he had been wrong and it was not the case. The shadow stayed silent, but with the manipulation of it's own mouth it copied the word silently. 'Hello.' it tried to say with no avail.
