Lilith had lifted the van with both twins cleaning up the vomit with their powers before they all got back in, Diego thanking them multiple times.
It grew dark as everyone in the back fell asleep. Diego slapped himself to keep himself awake as Five and Lilith stayed awake next to him. "You want me to drive?" Lilith asked him.
"No, it's okay. You did enough already by cleaning the van. Thanks again."
"And for the hundredth time, it was no problem." She softly told him. Diego gave her a small smirk before turning back to the others as most cuddled against each other since it was a bit cold by the windows being broken. "I don't think Lila enjoys having our small family." Diego said softly.
Lilith and Five glanced towards him, "What do you mean?" Five asked softly.
"I thought she was cheating on me since she goes places at night. And she lies about it."
"What about 'book club?'" Lilith asked, emphasizing a bit.
"Yeah right. Last night, I followed her. She was at this cafe, nicely dressed I will say. And she was next to some red-headed woman along with two others. The red-headed woman looked very familiar, a girl with a beanie and in braids, which made me think she was young. The dude was some Greek-looking mofo with a creepy mustache. Him and the girl were weirdly close. But they still managed to make Lila laugh and enjoy herself--she doesn't look like that when she's with me, or our kids."
Five and Lilith looked at him, a bit somber. "The mustache was creepy?" He asked with Lilith asking, "The braids made her look young?"
"Definitely. The stache' was sleazy as hell. The girl was-like the adorable type, you know? Like girl scouts but her outfit wasn't. A bit concerning how close they were though."
Lilith hummed, sharing a small glance with Five before turning back to Diego. "I'm sure it's nothing to worry your little head about."
"Dollface is right. I mean, you guys got the house, your small family. A person like Lila needs the time to adjust but you gotta work with her in order to make it work."
"So, I'm supposed to ignore the fact that she seems happier with other people than me, her husband and our kids?"
"I wouldn't say happier," Lilith started, "Sure, she's stressed because handling kids is no joke. And with the husband always working, it's a lot. And I'm not saying you should quit or stop working. You guys are doing whatever it takes to make the life that you guys made for each other better. That's the normal human response. Whenever you get something, you crave for more. For better."
"And with that, takes time. And you guys are working through it. So, if Lila needs to take some time for herself, so be it. It could also calm your worries if you try to have a night out for yourself as well." Five added, with Lilith nodding.
