Right after they left the park, Five and Rose took Lilith and Landon to a motel to take a break since they were all exhausted. They needed to share a room with two beds, but neither of them minded. Lilith sat on one of the beds, upset as she glanced towards Landon a few times, as he laid on the other bed, fidgeting with his fingers.
Rose and Five talked in the bathroom, "What do we do?" Rose asked worried, sitting on the toilet seat.
"Well, first calming down sounds like a nice plan, doesn't it?" Five sarcastically asked, making her nod.
"Yeah, of course. It's just that--it's not every day my friend and your brother just lose their complete vision in one night and my other friend and your wife just loses her complete hearing." Five gave her a look as Rose gave him a nervous chuckle. "And I'm not helping."
"Well, for right now, it's easy to converse with Landon but he obviously needs some help to figuring out his surroundings."
Rose nodded, "Of course. I mean, all he needs is us dragging him--right?"
Five sighed, "Something like that. You can also walk with him, arm in arm."
She snapped her fingers, pointing. "Yes! That can also work. And Lilith can walk just fine, just when-"
"We need to walk arm in arm with her too so if a car or person is headed towards her, we could warn her easily by stopping her." Five simply answered.
"Well, I mean, she can--handle herself-" Rose questioned, only for Five to cut her off.
"She doesn't like being pulled." He simply answered, making Rose nod. "Of course."
They stayed silent for a moment, "I can't believe it. Why-why now?" Rose asked Five about their conditions.
He was in thought, glancing back to the twins, who simply stayed on the beds. "I'm not sure, but I need to talk to Lily."
"How come?"
"I feel her powers had something to do with them."

They left the bathroom as Five looked around for a notepad and pen while Rose sat next to Landon. "Hey Lan, you want a snack or anything?"
He shook his head, "I-I just wanna stay here, laying down. " He answered as he kept looking up at the roof. His vision was blurry, but it would clear up for a few seconds before going back to blurry, making him a bit frustrated. Rose nodded as she laid down next to him as they stayed quiet for a moment. She turned to him as he continued to look up at the roof, making her reach for his hand as he stopped fidgeting.
Landon turned to her as she gave him a reassuring smile, "It'll be okay. We'll think of something."
Landon got one clear look of Rose as he nodded along with her words, "I'm scared Rosie." He whispered.
